Joe Colombo an Italian mobster who was one of the most ruthless killers joining the mob, when you wanted someone dead Colombo was the man for the job but Colombo ventured from a life of crime into politics and went to war with the FBI which is something no mobster has ever done before. Colombo became a civil rights activist for the Italian people against law enforcement he began to move further and further into the spotlight and speak more, the mafia did not approve of this behavior they prefered to stay hidden in the shadows and of course with this being the 60’s this was very important Mob work was always done in around the night life where mobsters were able to do everything they need to without getting caught.

Colombos Warning: The mafia in which Colombo worked for gave him a stern warning that if he did not stop this he would pay the price. Colombo was arrested and went before a grand jury usually he was silent as every moster knows to live by the code of silence but colombo decided to take a different tactic, he decided he would talk his way out of it (bad move) Colombo began talking and he did the unthinkable Colombo gave up his former boss in front of a grand jury Carlo Gambino.

Colombo seals his fate:

Joe Colombo has just sealed his own fate by giving up his former boss of the Gambino family Carlo Gambino at the end of Colombos life Colombo was getting ready to give a speech which alot of people were informed not show up and listen to this speech but the people did not listen and went anyway. Colombo began taking pictures and felt he was untouchable to the mob he worked for (he was wrong) a black man with a camera stepped up and acted like he was going to take a picture and he pulled a gun out and shot Colombo twice one in the head and one in the chest then right after Colombo was shot his shooter was then shot and killed theres only one organization that could have pulled off a double homicide in such a timely manner. Colombo was not killed instantly he was in a coma for 8 years then finally died of his injuries he truly did pay the price.

No one was ever charged in this double homicide.

This story pan out alot like John Gotti’s story both Colombo and Gotti had something in common they both got cocky they both thought they were untouchable and they both began disobeying the rules that have kept the mafia a float and in most cases out of prison for decades in 2013 the Colombo family was no more law enforcement cut down and most of the family wound up in prison or dead just like what happened to Gotti’s crew.

Let this be a lession in business break the rules pay the price the last thing anyone want is their business to become no more Pay your taxes Respect your customers even when their wrong respect your employees and be fair with everyone you come in contact with.

Dont think you are untouchable because sooner or later you will get caught either youll pay the price on earth youll pay the price by God so all in all do the right thing dont get caught up in greed and dont become conceited Stay humble and Grateful for the opportunites given tomorrow isnt promised so be happy for today.
