Keyword ranking
If I follow instructions finding good keywords using Jaaxy and do basic SEO (keyword in title, H1 and content) how long does it take to rank in google?
Talking general time frame. 1 week, a day, a month?
What experiences are you having?

Hi Earl.
If this is your first few posts, then it could take a week or more.
If you add content regularly, Google etc will recognise that - and will re-index your site far more frequently - and your new pages/posts as you go on, will get ranked quicker and quicker.
If you start to tail off, and only post every few weeks, or months - then the frequency with which the search engines will revisit and re-index will reduce too - and therefore it'll take longer for your content to get ranked.
I hope that helps?
All the best, Mark
It does, thank you. I was curious about how long it would take initially and I figured it would take a while right out of the gate.
Hi - yes it does. If you're not consistent, Google etc won't know when to visit and re-index your website - keep giving it fresh content, and it'll keep coming back - eager to see what else you have that it can entice it's users with :) Remember, google wants to provide the best, most relevant and interesting search results to it's users - if it doesn't, it as a search engine, could start to lose favour.
Cheers, Mark

A new site could take weeks. An older site with frequent posting can be ranked within hours. High competition stuff will take longer, low competition stuff you can get ranked for on page 1 in the same day!
