Howdy do all, just thought I'd share a few of the free things I've found over the years. If you've been doing this awhile, many of these things you already know about and probably use.
The first one I use to write content with. It's a notepad editor, but with cool features
Need to edit images? This just about as good as photo shop...FREE!
Open office is the open source answer to expensive microsoft stuff. Make text documents, turn them into pdf's, spreadsheets and other groovy stuff.
File zilla is an FTP program. FTP stands for "file transfer protocol". This is what you need to transfer files to your website. Most web hosts have their own, but it never hurts to have an extra. I use it and love it

Last but not least is one of the best places to just browse and find free stuff
Kompozer is a free code editor.

Great share. Add morguefile.com for free photos and you've got the list of bookmarks in my resource folder. Someday I will master gimp!
Yea, gimps a pain at first. I spent a lot of time over the years trying to find tutorials for it. I use it for simple stuff, but its free so I can't complain!
