Mixed Emotions and Trying to Stay Positive
Today is my last day working from home.
I have mixed emotions about my return to work.
Although I am not happy about the reason I have worked from home for the last 14 months (pandemic), I am happy that I had the opportunity to do so.
Our whole office proved that we could do so, and still keep up with the work and take care of our clients. Our firm was able to keep all of our staff and stay somewhat busy.
I am glad I have a job and I am not complaining. I am thankful for my job and I enjoy working with my husband but IT does take up so much of my day that I don't get to do a lot of stuff I want to do or need to do at home.
I guess I have gotten spoiled working from home.
I have had the opportunity to spend more time working on my websites. I have had more time to take care of myself, spiritually, mentally, and physically.
It is a shame all of that is about to come to an end. At least with my current schedule.
That is the disadvantage of returning to the office. I most often don't have time to take care of myself or my websites.
We will see what the next few months have to offer.
On the upside of things, after two and half years I am still enjoying learning with the Wealthy Affiliate training, building my websites, coming up with my posts, learning more about SEO, reading more posts from my WA connections, and getting traffic to my websites.
I have made a lot of changes to a couple of sites and hope that they will start to pick up soon. I have really had fun, overcame some challenges, and seeing some results.
No sales or referrals yet but I'm not giving up.
I hope and pray for the betterment of our country and all around the world that this virus starts to take a turn for the better and we will see more decline in cases, sickness, and deaths.
It has been a hard year for everyone.
Bless all of my WA comrades!!!

Hi Pamela, I am sure after working at home for the past 14 months and now having to return to a physical workplace outside of your home will take a bit of time to get re-acquainted.
All the best,
Michael
Perhaps you could negotiate working part time from home Pamela. Many workplaces have discovered their workers are more productive at home, no commute, no chatting to other staff, having fixed lunch times etc.
I wish you luck in your return to 'normality'.
Hopefully, there will be a rethink in work-life balance and more flexibility will be allowed so that perhaps you might be able to have more time at home even though you would be expected to come into the office. It's the new way of work that many corporates have already adopted.

It will be good to reconnect with real life again. Be thankful that things are progressing positively and pray this is the end of it.
