How I tricked myself into writing more
Establishing new habits has always been a little difficult for me because I am a creature of habit and I don't really like changing my daily routine. So, establishing a writing habit was pretty difficult for me. I came across another forum (not WA) of writers that are professional writers... Meaning they write a novel a month (50,000+ words) type of writers. I am nowhere that level but figured if I emulated some of their habits I could start my journey towards writing as much and as often as they do. All of them recommended 750words.com, which I had never heard of before.
I highly recommend anyone that is struggling to establish a writing habit to check this out! It is free for the first month and the concept is simple. You literally sit down every single day and write 750 words and eventually this helps you get into the habit of daily writing. No one else sees your writing if you don't want them to, so feel free to use it as a daily journal if you want.
If are not interested in daily writing, then no need to look into this. But, if you want to have accountability for daily writing, share your writing with others, and compete against others for word count (like me) then check it out =)
After the initial trial period, it's $5 per month which is not too bad in my book. That is all from me. Enjoy!

Hey Jess,
I use 750 words too and I totally agree that it is a great way to establish a daily writing habit. I was able to have an unbroken streak of 30 days.
I love the fact that every time you achieve a milestone they give you a badge which kind of makes you want to keep going and I think $5/mo is pretty reasonable. I highly recommend this to others atleast for the first 30 days
30 day streak, yay! Way to go! I haven't gotten there yet, but I am close. I finished day 23 this morning. I am glad you enjoy 750 words. It has really changed my mindset on writing already. I love the badges too. LOL. I am really trying to challenge myself and get the NaNo badge, which is 50,000 words for the month. It's a huge goal, but it is something substantial to strive for =)
Hi Jess, Whatever it takes. One addition to this: When you write, start to write about things that you can and will be turning into content material for your site and future sites. It does not have to be perfect. It can even be bits and pieces of data that you can compile and put together later into blog postings. Good job. Dave.
Thank you so much for the advice, Dave! That is great and I will definitely use this in my writing. Thanks so much =)
