This week I have decided to conquer email marketing. I have heard great things about what it can do for a business. Since I have a steady flow of traffic coming in, I thought it would be an excellent time to start a newsletter. The StartI went into this project with ZERO knowledge about email lists. Other than having seen a subscriber form on a few webpages, I was a complete beginner.I started my learning quest, the same place I start all my journeys, here at WA. I found a few sound pieces of tr

The older I get, the more I swear my brain has a limited compacity. It seems like with everything new thing that I forget something I once knew. This could be my imagination, but it feels real enough. The issue is that the learning never stops. I am forever learning, rather or not, it is all useful information is yet to be seen. I am not saying learning is a bad thing. We all know that knowledge is power. I am saying that when my head explodes, and my brains are laying on the floor, don't be sho

I have noticed an alarming trend of late. What is that trend - the thoughtless comment. It seems that lately when I ask for comments, I get sad one-liners that have nothing to do with the content of the post or are so generic that they could be put on any post. Here is an example:Thank you for great information here at your site. I will use it in my further education. That was left on one of my posts. There are a few reasons that this creates a problem.Problem 1It does not add value. A short, po

We have all opened that article excited to finally get the answers we are looking for just to be slapped in the face by glaring mistakes. I am not talking about the misplacing of commas or a couple of errors. No, I am talking about the posts that are painful to read. It is evident that the writer did not take the time to proofread their work. I do not know about you, but I close that website immediately. What Is Proofreading?Proofreading is reading text making a note of mistakes and correcting th

I am shocked, I tell you, shocked. It has been a long journey. Not time wise, I mean, I have only been here less than a month, but with all the information. I feel confident now when it comes to designing my website and post. I have a great idea of how to succeed and how to get traffic. I have goals set and a routine I follow. I am now in a flow. I am excited to see what the future holds. I know that this is not a long post, I just wanted to share the good news!

Networking as an introvert can be one of the most anxiety-inducing and draining activities. It can be an honest struggle coming up with small talk post, quick comebacks, and engaging content for strangers. As I have continued on my journey here at Wealthy Affiliate, the training has pushed me harder and harder to get involve and communicate both here on the platform and in my niche website. This is why I figured it was time to write a blog that focuses on introverts and networking. At a local bo

Hi, I am Dovey, and I am a hot mess. As a hot mess, I can be distracted easily. I have been known to chase down rabbit holes, do things that pop into my head at random and loose complete motivation. Because of all these things, I had to set some hard and fast rules. I have compiled a list of my top 5 tips on how to stay focused while working at home. These tips can help anyone, even if you do not identify as a hot mess.Tip #1 - Get DressedJust because I can work in my PJs does not mean I should

I am not your typical commitaphobe; after all, I have been married 17 years. Then again, in fairness, I make the chose every day to stay with my spouse. I have to know I have an out in order to stay. If I ever feel trap, you can bet I am running for the hills. The same thing happens in every aspect of my life. That is why it has taken us so long to settle down in one area. It is also why my resume looks like a list of career choices and why I have two completely unrelated degrees after switchin
