To be successful in Life, it is similar to losing weight or living a healthier lifestyle. Without the right mindset, it will be more difficult to start and your goals will be more difficult to achieve. Write down action items that you will do to achieve your goals. Change the little voice in your head. Align your goals towards the desired outcome. DO NOT focus on the obstacles in your way. For example, do not dwell on the difficult road a head or the temptations. Instead stay focused on the positive outcomes you want. I want more energy, confidence and overall health.
Talk to yourself as if you are already the person you want to become. I am a confident, happy, healthy active person (say it to yourself like your personal mantra). When challenges or temptations occur, your mantra will help you stay focused on your goals. Does a confident, happy, healthy active person eat at McDonalds every day and drink soft drinks? Um, NOOooo he/she does not. You will start to make decisions on the person you want to become, because inside that person already exists.
Also, Weigh yourself daily, recent studies generally agree that daily weighing is associated with greater weight loss and less weight regain than less-frequent self-weighing . One study showed that participants who weighed themselves daily for six months lost 13 more pounds (6 kg), on average, than those who weighed themselves less frequently.
What’s more, those who weigh themselves daily tend to adopt more favorable weight control behaviors, exercise better restraint toward food and eat impulsively less often. The act of weighing ones self is the similar those people that look over their goals daily and take action. You are re-enforcing your MINDSET!
