Wealthy Affiliate Is Teaching Me to Fish!

We all know the Chinese Proverb that talks about giving someone fish, and teaching someone how to fish. The meaning of this proverb is that it far much better to teach someone how to fish because they will be able to feed themselves at anytime. If they don't know how to fish, they will starve!

When I first joined Wealthy Affiliate, I was not really paying attention to the program because I had some preconceived ideas that I would not do this for a long term. I was not so sure if this was for me or not. In other words, I can simply say, maybe I wanted to be given a fish without being taught how to fish!

Now that I am on lesson 5, and I am in the last phase, I don't recall why I chose to do the Online Entrepreneur Certification (OEC) training instead of the Affiliate Boot Camp! The only reason I can think of is that maybe I read the title for lesson 3 which is about making money!. I wanted to make money quick without understanding what was involved.

I was so happy when I was able to create the website. Everything seemed cool. I had to learn the Traffic methods, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and XML Sitemap, Crawl and all that jazz! Honestly, it was overwhelming. Thanks to the community for the help. Now I understand what this is all about.

So far, I realize that Wealthy Affiliate has given me the groundwork to be an Affiliate Marketer. I have to continue learning in one way or the other to equip myself. Now I know even within Wealthy Affiliate there are ways to make a bunch of money. I did not know this until I did some lessons and read other blogs.

The way I look at it, is that opportunity will only come to me if I can help people by giving solution to their problem through my content in my blogs. If I am able to write good content on the subject, then they will trust me eventually and will start listening to me and then they will get convinced that their problem will be solved, that's when I will get my reward!

Learning how to fish is just the same as learning how to be an Affiliate Marketer. If you know how to fish, you will have fish all the time! Helping people by giving solutions to their problems is what Wealthy Affiliate is teaching me and that is where the endless opportunities are found.
