Was Lost. Now I am Found!
I am posting this here in hopes there are a few people I may be talking to in this wonderful community that may understand what I am going through... In September of last year I lost someone who still had her whole life ahead of her, that I was truely in love with. I haven't touched my website since then. I felt that there as no point, why work this hard when we we are all going to die anyways? Enjoy my life now I said. But, I realized as time was going on I wasn't doing anything. Just drowning in sorrow, on the verge of going into depression.
Then, I received an email, and then a check from an affiliate product on my site. I couldn't believe it my first sale and I hadn't touched my site in over 3 months... This peaked my interest again in working on my site, and today is the first time I've been on it since her passing.
It's bittersweet I guess as I'm crying writing this... But, this is the day that I need to move on with my life and my dreams and live the life she never got to live!
I'm not looking for sympathy from this, I just needed my own solace to continue on this journey with you wonderful people.
I have decided to keep my website but start the training over and take my time to do it right, instead of rushing and trying to get everything done at one time. I really would like to start with being more organized and get some systems in place before jumping right back in... But, my first goal today is to get another post up!
So if you have any good recommendations or examples for organization for owning a website that would be great! There's so much to keep track of.
Rest in Power Syd (wish I could put a heart here :()
Thank you to all :) I hope you all have had a wonderful start to your New Year!
Best of Luck,
Sabrina

Hi Sabrina,
I'm so sorry to hear that you lost someone you loved so much. I truly am.
I'm glad you're here on this platform and found a renewed sense of enthusiasm for your site through your first sale, even though it is bittersweet for you.
I think it's awesome you're going to the training again.
With regard to tools to help you with organisation, I find the Site Content tool amazing for doing my keyword research and saving those keywords into drafts for later. I also track my word count using site content, and set writing goals.
I also use a spreadsheet to keep track of my posts, including keeping track of whether they need comments, get posted to various social media channels, are indexed etc.
I also note down all of the products I can potentially review when I come across them so I don't lose them. There are just so many.
I have just started to write down very specific goals in my spread sheet too, and I mark them off when I've completed them. It really helps me to stay focused and not go off looking at shiny things.
I hope this helps you, and I wish you all the very best :)
Cheers
Melissa
