Day 3 of 30: Ready and Set, But Waiting

Tic-Tic-Tic-Tic...

The clock is ticking friends, and I'm feeling just a tad anxious.

I had made mention that I wasn't sure whether to start setting up the 2nd site or just to see this 1st site all the way through.

Per the suggestions of some comments left by you intelligent WA'ers, I decided to focus on this 1st site a little more so I can get a process down.

This will give me templates and speed up the following site builds.

Here's what has been done so far:

  • Researched Niche
  • Registered Domain
  • Setup Theme & Necessary Plugins
  • Added Homepage Content
  • Created Site Structure
  • Outsourced 3x500 word articles (the bottleneck)

The next step? Get the site indexed in Google.

Need Content Before Index Push

In order to avoid the Google 'thin site' penalty, I cannot do my indexing push quite yet until the articles are completed.

So here I am. Restless.

To fill the time I've already started researching my 2nd niche (remember, I'm aiming for 3-5 sites for the ol' "shotgun" approach).

"Skyler, What are you going to do after Articles are done?"

Good question, thanks for asking.

Immediately when I get the articles I can finish the site, get the site indexed and ranked (more on my ranking strategy later).

Once that is done, it's time for the marketing push.

While that is going on, it's time to rinse & repeat.

But for now...... we wait.

I admire your perseverance, I know you can get through it. Focus and continue what you are already doing. If you feel like burned up, take a big break and then come back and just focus again and continue till you're successful.

True. I started doing a little bit but may ramp it up some more.

Wow, I'm impressed.

Blimey, are you keeping a record of the time spent on this challenge?

Just trying to keep the positive momentum. At the very least I'll learn a thing or two if I make mistakes :)

Keep on keeping on!

I found this post funny because I used to think almost all of that before I went premium. I even set a deadline for myself within a week. The thing is, once I set those thoughts aside and went premium, everything just went easier.
