Marion, what were you thinking? the importance of keywords.
A few days ago i asked a question , it was about promoting an affiliate. My website wasn't doing so well, i could not figure out how much traffic I had, no sales with Amazon either, no sales for my affiliate. My site health was good in content, comments, but the trust was 40 and I understood it takes time to build that trust.
Robert A answered my question he looked at my site to find the traffic and then he asked a big question: What were you thinking Marion? The keywords you use have way too much competition and you didn't use any keywords in your posts! this way youy'll never get ranked
O my goodness, i did my lessons on keywords but not well enough apparently. The competition of my words was way to high, I was never ever to get any traffic with those. so my assignment was to find keywords under 10, with traffic.
Now I transferred my whole website to a siterubix domain, another adventure, export, import, being nervous if it's working. Now I'll rewrite my posts around a keyword and i have a new url and a new title. It is much work but you know, I'm so glad I learned why my website didn't work and I see this as a huge learning proces.. I didn't know anything about websites until I came with WA and I learn everyday. Also there is such huge knowledge in this community, I am so amazed by that and thank you so much Robert A for taking your time for me. Truly grateful.

Hi Marion...I just finished doing this lesson not so long ago and it totally opened my eyes... Getting Your Site Ready for SEO And the next lesson as well! It took me two times for the penny to drop!
It most certainly will, i did the lessons though and will do them again. there is a lot to gain with keywords and a lot to learn about them, What I seem to forget that Google is a machine, not a person,I have to do it a certain way to rank. thanks Steve, marion
You migh consider switching to Yoast seo at this point too. It takes a little getting used to, but really helped me learn my seo. It basically tells you what you need to improve as your writing your post. :)
Hi Geoff, i used Yoast for quite a while maybe I'll do that again but now I have SEO all in one with my new website. But I learned a lot form Yoast but never got all buttons green....
