I have been struggling a bit, trying to find Page ID's so that I can exclude pages from the widgets, etc and I could not find any help on this so here it is:

If you're using UtMCE it can show page IDs for you, the option "Add ID Column to page/post admin list" is in Misc. Options. There's training on installing it here: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/ultimate-tinymce-plugin-the-ultimate-training :) Rich.
Simon, yes, that's one way to do it, another way would be to look in your address bar when you edit the page: http://screencast.com/t/KaEQMUfgVh in that example where it says post=498, 498 is the page id...

Sorry, but I'm not sure exactly how or where this numbering is occurring. Have you tried setting the permalinks, in Settings > Permalinks if the numbers are being added to them?! Rich.
In settings>Permalinks I have only 2 settings and nothing about numbering. I know its the theme as I have changed it and the numbers are not there. Check it out creativekitchenrecipes.com
