Distractions, And How To Minimise Them.

There are many things that can distract you from writing or watching a traing video, being logged in to your WordPress site and trying to concentrate on writing a new blog post will bring distractions to you, because you will have your PC on and be logged in to the Internet, Facebook, your e-mail and even your PC will send you notifications that will distract you.

Then there is your mobile phone, text, Whats App and even a phone call will stop you from writing and cause you to lose concentration. If you are writing at home then there are other distractions such as a knock at the door, your landline ringing, members of your family watching TV or just being indoors and other family members talking to each other.

If you are like me and live on your own there also many household chores that need doing and these will also distract you from writing.

To minimise these distractions, turn your mobile off, your land line needs to be switched to silent or unplugged, and you need to log off from Facebook and close your e-mail app and any other apps that may send alerts, and if you are in a busy house hold and are lucky enough to have a spare room go there and do your writing and leave a do not disturb notice on the door.

Set yourself an amount of time for your writing, i:e, say to your self I am going to write from 7pm untill 10pm Monday to Friday and then I am going to do whatever, you will find yourself writnig more frequently and getting more done.
