Hi all,

Out of the following, which theme is the best for a blog style site and SEO? And which theme is the easiest for a non coder?

Divi Theme

X theme

Genesis

I would appreciate any advice.

Thanks,

Sim

I just installed X from Themeco!

is the Divi Theme still available on WA? I can find it. Any help would be much appreciated!

Maybe they have made a lot of changes to the DIVI theme over the last year. I've only been using it about a week and I love it. It make customizing my site, blog post and everything else I can think of very simple. I know how to code web pages but this thing is a dream for not having to and getting an extremely nice look and feel just the way you want it. They are just coming out with 3.0 which is even supposed to make this easier and more visual but I haven't upgraded my installation yet

Great question! I actually have access to all three and it's hard to decide...

Let me know if you've come to a conclusion please!

Hey, thanks for the reply. I actually am using the divi theme. It's been ok and looks visually stunning but I do think it's more tailored to building a shop or sales page. I've struggled to make it work well with a blog style website. I think after a year I will switch to something better.

What's your take ?

No worries. I found it via WA search. :)

So far I haven't spent much time using Divi, yet. I bought it earlier this month, put it on a test site and messed around with it a little bit. It's mostly all new to me still. I am getting a bit used to the new terms and the builder though.

I agree about the blogging part. For that, Genesis/StudioPress seems to be the best pick. That's what I'd go with for blogging.

Did you get to use the X theme though? I tried to get up and running with it, but something about WA's hosting wouldn't allow its extensions to install. I chatted with WA support about it and it seemed like too much work. That's when I bought Elegant Theme's package (with Divi), hahaha.

Shawn Martin just did a tutorial on things to look for in a theme https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/choosing-and-changing-a-wordpress-theme, maybe this will help you. You could always pm him if you have additional questions after reviewing the tutorial.

Or any recommends themes.
