Can you really earn a living in affiliate marketing as a newbie in 2014?
Hi All,
This question has probably been asked before but I haven't really found a clear answer . I've seen many people on here blog about their initial success but very few stories of how they now earn a living from it.
Can you really make a living from affiliate marketing starting out as a newbie in 2014?
I would appreciate your advice and experience. It's inspiring to hear other peoples stories of success :-)

The short answer is Absolutely.
More and more people are creating fulltime incomes online than ever before and it's just going to increase.
I've been earning a full time income online since 2005 and when I started it was a lot harder and there was no wealthy affiliate.
You have such great wealth (sorry for the pun) of tools, resources, training and support here in the WA - take advantage of it and the skies the limit.
I believe in you!

Thank you! Well done on your success. Do you think it's easier now to become a successful affiliate marketeer now ( incredibly high competition) compared to 2005?
No niche is to competitive or saturate.
With the tools and resources available now as compared to 2005 - it is so much easier to build a very successful online business.
But it will not happen overnight, it takes time. And if you know that going in, you'll be just fine.
You can, but if you are completely new you are going to have to understand things take time. Those who make really good money, and those strictly affiliate marketing didn't do it overnight. They built themselves, and their brand over time to get to where they have got.
Thank you for the advice! I agree it does take time. I guess my question was in reference to the fact that many successful affiliate marketeers today started out between 2006-2008 and whether it's really likely for an newbie affiliate marketeer in 2014 to actually make a living.

Hello Sim. Nice to meet you. Saw your blog and just wanted to stop by and interject for a bit...
To answer your question effectively...I'll just start by saying a big fat YES. Think about it this way. If there are 10 million ways how not to make money online there are at least 100 million ways how to. If the scam artists that are online are making a living...then why would an ambitious man or woman with a plan not make the same living too (but by ethical and legal means).
Can a Niche become saturated? In my honest opinion, no. I don't believe so. Reason being - businesses start up daily and businesses fail daily too therefore, you'll always have a balance between the people that are coming into the online business space and the people that are going out.
How much money can be made - well that's a different story now isn't it? Because to each his own and here success levels vary from person to person...based on willingness to go on (drive, determination), background (educated in the field or not) and patience level (willing to learn along the way) etc...
Hope this way able to help,
Best as always,
Keane:-)
