Hi Kyle,
I went through your training of verifying website ownership and submitted sitemap.xml as shown via Google xml Sitemaps. It is now showing that my sitemap is empty.
Google verification complete. but it says sitemap is empty. how do I correct this?
Hi Kyle,

Greetings Subhadip,
No this is not Kyle, but it may take him a while to get to your question.
I thought I would try to get some information and see if I could assist.
What is your domain that you are working with?
How many posts have you written and published for this domain?
Do you have Google Webmaster Tools setup?
Let me know, my best,
Gary
Hi Gary,
Thanks a lot for taking your time to answer my question.
My domain is www.goldenretrieverhome.com
I have verified my website in Google on Google Webmaster with an SEO app called Google XML Sitemaps.
And afterwards, when I submitted the sitemap and hit test, It showed the message "Empty Sitemap". A screenshot is attached.
I tried the whole process from scratch again but the result was the same.
Have you known any such cases before? I can't seem to get a hold of the right material. Many posts are there about error 404.
My best wishes,
Subhadip
Subhadip,
I took a look at the domain name you gave me.
When I tried to go there I got a warning from my security.
So I converted it to its IP address 54.197.224.74 and when I put that into the address bar I get a page telling me that the web space for this domain is not set up on the WA server?

I am not sure I understand your set up.
I tried to generate a Sitemap for you from Sitemaps.com but it could not gain access. http://take.ms/rRGZ8
In Wordpress what plugin did you use to create your sitemap "All In One SEO"?
What your attached image shows is apparently an empty sitemap file.
I would like to help you gain resolution but you have some strangeness going on?
Peace,
Gary
You are absolutely right about something fishy going on here Gary :-)
I used the plugin 'Google xml sitemaps' for verifying the site in google and then typed in 'sitemap.xml' to submit the sitemap.
Thanks for showing the issue with my website not shown as being set up on the server.
Also, my site shows the https when I log in. May I ask what was the security message you got?
Thanks and regards,
Subhadip
Subhadip,
Yes, you still have something fishy going on.
Without discussing my particular security setup, let's just say I was advised when I try to access www.goldenretrieverhome.com with my browser I get a warning that it is not a Safe Site.
There is ambiguity between your domain name and its assigned IP address?
Where did you buy the domain www.goldenretrieverhome.com from?
Gary
Hi Gary,
It finally worked!
The guys at site support created a new XML which worked fine.
Thanks for all the help.
I bought the domain here at WA.
Wish you all the best.
Shuvodip
Awesome I am glad to hear you found a resolution.
I wish you the best.
If you need anything drop me a PM.
Ciao,
Gary

I have the google ranked badge active right now. But none of my content has the indexed in google-symbol
active. Please help understand why this is and and how do I find it?
If you are using google chrome you can find your actual article simply by choosing Incognito and type in
site: your article title
Or
type in your browser search box
"your article title"
don't forget the quotations
give me your article URL and also your website URL and I will find them if they have been indexed and or ranked
Enjoy your Monday.
Robert
I don't have any article that I can see in my profile as being ranked.
My website is www.goldenretrieverhome.com
Sorry for being a complete noob. :-P
Easy enough to find your website with the URL -
https://goldenretrieverhome.com/
Cannot find your articles.
Are you sure you have them indexed?
Perhaps you should Fetch As Google in your Google Console and then request indexing.
I don't think I have done any of those.
I was looking into google to find how to index my site or re-crawl my content.
I can't log in to my cpanel to upload an HTML for verification of ownership. It says the page is not there. Screenshot added.
Any thoughts on how to get past this? Or how to index my site and content? I have no idea about any of those
If you click on the link that I used
https://goldenretrieverhome.com/
You are taken to your Home Page.
I cannot find anything else.
You must Fetch As Google and the Request Indexing.

Go into your Google Console Account

Hi Robert,
Very sorry for the super late reply.
I have successfully gone through the site verification process and now facing an empty sitemap issue. I followed the training video by Kyle on how to verify google with Google xml sitemaps app. Now every time I hit verify sitemap on the webmaster page I see the 'empty sitemap' message.
Would love to have your advice on how to resolve this. A screenshot is attached below.
Thaks a lot for taking your time out to answer my queries.
Best wishes,
Subhadip
Why are you using an App.
Its a simple process to submit your sitemap in your Google Console.
type in sitemap.xml and submit
I am doing just that i.e typing sitemap.xml.
I had used the app to verify the site using meta information upload method.
Perhaps I'll delete the app and try again
Finally, Got it to work. The site support guys created a new sitemap and that worked.
Have a great day
