Fab Life Online And It Will Only Get Better !
Okay, something about me and my "online life ".
About online .....
When I was finishing MBA degree in Chicago 2001, I only used websites to expand my social circle and Skype my family in Taiwan. Of course, I had lots of fun !
One term , I had to choose E-commerce course before graduation and WOW , that was the very first time I seriously looked at what internet might change my life and other people's lives.
I knew I always wanted it but.......
There was a voice telling me " you can make lots money online and you can live the way you want !" ..... I never forget how pumping my heart was when everytime I thought so.
I was all excited telling my family what I wanted to do after MBA, there was however a very "tough" voice from them saying " what ? who can really make big money online ? You are not even geeky enough to build a website !" ...... It's just like most Asian parents would tell you " most artists can't feed themselves , so don't do it ! "
Guess what I did about it ....... absolutely "NOTHING" .
So I got a job in the bank and had good income for years, but I never forgot my dream of making my own business online.
The push.....finally ... after years
One day , when my fiancé ( oh yes , we found each other online ..how surprise :P ) told me that I should learn running business my won as his job always moved around and I might not be able to keep my banker job in the long run , especially after being a mom !
Oh right , so that was a big push for me and made me think what I wanted to sell and how ???
A brave , naive fashion diva online ...
Fashion of course !! clothes ! shoes ! bags ! ..... that's all I knew apart from my boring banker's world.
So I started to sell dresses online through Ebay and Yahoo auction , I teamed up with a good graphic person... I was doing quite okay in the beginning... then I faced some challenges as " price war" from China kicked in.
Facing difficulties online and why .....( now I know thanks to WA )
Overall , when facing competition online, I could not get enough traffic to my site even though our products were very competitive for new customers.
Then I started to add our shoes collection ( yes, massive capital in again !) to hope the beautiful shoes will turn my business around quickly. This time , I did a little differently , apart from some PR and beautiful models, I hired my "geeky" friends to do " keywords" and "blogs".
Out of my expectation, the shoe business was running very smoothly for the next 8 years and I was able to traveling around the world with my husband while I only used computer and phone to control the office. And I was able to use the money to open two real shops in Taipei and Shanghai.
Closed down ......
Why I closed down in 2013 ? Simply just because I spent way too much on all sorts of marketings and I didn't see enough return or say "accurate returns". I was not losing money but I know I was going to very soon.
For the sake to get some capital out for a family matter , I had to close down a big name in Asia also ended an exciting life of 8 years. Yes, my internet dream came to the end.
I woke up everyday sadly , I was very lost and I prayed to the God that I hoped one day my time would come again.
Something new , something has to be my own knowledge ---affiliate marketing
So, I had learned something really really differently this time..... " I need to learn about internet marketing myself " instead of " just hiring marketers". As there is no guarantee from them and I don't want to throw my money away again.
What I found.....
internet Affiliate is nowadays the most successful formula for any online business. I was fortunately to meet my current business partner who owns a successful supplements and beauty products company www.biotanicalsecrets.com few months ago and she wanted me to work with her to grow the online business through affiliates marketing way.
when I heard that , I was yelling " YES ! "... that's what I prayed for and I don't know why , I deeply believe this time I will master it and it will lead me to a big success, no matter for my own growth or the company.
Glad I am here at WA....
I wanted to thank Weathy Affiliate who just showed up at right time when I was very lost among all those "flashy" and "expensive" affiliates coaching programs.
It saved me big money and I was very surprised how friendly and helpful the community is , especially , I always got warm regards and short chats from founders, Kyle and Carson.

At Wealthy Affiliate, I found a home online , for an ordinary , non-geek woman like me, I feel very comfortable and safe to learn whatever I am interested and turned the knowledge to be a great tool for bringing in wealth also boosting up my company's business.
No more stupid markting budget numbers for company ....yeah !!
I no longer have to budget big numbers for " marketing " ! How awesome is that ?

the only thing I wish Wealthy Affiliate has is " Chinese Wealthy Affiliate " !
I can' t wait to share this super useful program to my folks in Chinese.
Maybe...one day , I will help Kyle and Carson to build something in Chinese !
