Help! Post page meta description causing plagiarism alert because of matching the post I wrote
Hey All!
I'm going to try to describe this as best as possible and hopefully someone knows which little tweak I need to do to fix this.
I wrote a post of over 2,000 words - all original. It's been up about a month. I finally got around to do a plagiarism check since it was a post I had to do a lot of research for and had to cite a lot of sources for. But everything was written in my own words. The plagiarism checker I used allowed 1000 words at time. Everything checked out to 100% original content - EXCEPT, the first few lines of the post. When I checked the examples that they showed of where matching content was, it only showed my website, my post and the main post page (I use a static homepage and separate post page). In addition, it shows this meta description for every photo that has been used in any posts and the few photos are showing as plagiarism matches also.
Both the post and the post page are defaulting (on their own) to the first few lines of the article as the meta description and causing the plagiarism alert because of this. I always create a unique meta title and description for each post, page or product. How do I get the post page and the post to use their own meta descriptions and not the first few lines of the post?
When it comes to the photos, I have the box checked to redirect them to their parent URL, but they are all pulling the meta from the latest post and showing up on the plagiarism check also.
UGH! I am not trying to have my 2,000+ word post showing plagiarism after putting so much effort into writing an original article, just because my own site is messing it up. If anyone has insight on this, I would certainly appreciate the help. I know google does its own thing pulling meta info for indexing but is there anything I can do to tweak this?
Thank you so much!!!!!! Shea
P.S. The original plagiarism scans were done on Grammarly - which I cant see the result details on because I don't have a membership and Small SEO Tools which is what showed me the content specifics and the matches (how I determined it was my own site causing the match). Both of those sites showed problems. I just scanned on Quetext and got "No plagiarism detected." Oh my gosh! I don't want people checking my work and thinking it's plagiarized because they don't check past the first results.

I'm a newbie. So please excuse me if this sounds stupid. How do I go back to a training video I watched before I went premium?
Hi, Welcome! I hope I can help. If you click on Training, it shows Training Activity that I would guess should have a history of the courses you have viewed before. I am not certain, but I would guess that this includes training you did before going premium.
If the training video you viewed was part of the trainings provided by Wealthy Affiliate - Online Entrepreneur Certification or Affiliate Bootcamp, you can just click on those and all the courses are still available.
If the training video was something a member posted, I would guess it's in your training history or if you remember the topic, you could do a serach for it or return to the memebers page to see all the courses they have posted.
You can always go to the Help Center to Site Support also. They are for techinical support for your site, but they may be able to assist also.
Have a great day!!!
Thank you for your help! You also have a great day!
You should have access to the same videos and more as a Premium member. Can you tell me which video it was or what it was about?
I wasn't sure but it seemed that the Training Activity wouldn't change after upgrading. I know I have scrounged for trainings before but managed to find them one way or the other.
Any tips you may have on my post about my content plagiarizing itself? I never imagined the plagiarzing checkers would put back results based on somehow reading the same info twice on the same site - of course, I only posted it once, but the main post page and the individual post page are both rendering it in the plagiarizing checkers.
Can you provide your site URL to me and let me know which content it's saying is plagiarized?
I found it but, Thank You
I was able to find it. Thank You
Great!
Yes, definitely! :) I don't know if links work in comments, otherwise I will message you.

The page that I checked is: https://cranberryanddmannose.com/2018/12/what-is-a-uti/
It is stating that the plagiarized content matches:

Out of all the plagiarism sites I used, I did find one sentence that matched another website that I had to rewrite. As mentioned, one showed 100% fine. However, everything else showing plagiarized was against my own pages.
OK, so I took a quick look. I'm curious. Is this the first time you got the alert? I see in your about post you have “What is a UTI?”. Now that might be what it's complaining about since that's the title of your recent post.
Do you have another post lined up yet? I'd like to know if you'll get the same alert. I suspect not and think you're OK.
It is odd that it's referring to posts vs your about me page but that might just be because it hit that first.
I think you're OK with this one..it's more of a false positive as far as I can see.
Thanks for looking! It is the first time I got the alert, because it's the first time I have ever checked it :D My main concern is that if I submit the article as a writing example to someone and they do a plagiarism check, that they will see the flags and not check to see that it is seeing my own site, vs. thinking it really is plagiarized. I may reach out to the plagiarism check sites that gave me these results and see if they can explain thier results. I guess I should check my other posts to see what happens and determine if they all conflict with the Posts page or only the latest one does? I didn't think of that though, becuase this is the only post I had to reseach and didn't write off the top of my head, so I already knew my other posts were 100% original (I only have 4 total). Thanks again! Hope your'e having a nice day!
Any time...I am actually, thank you.
