I would like to know if disallowing wp-admin is still required in the robots.txt file? As per https://

Just out of interest, is that all that yoast dissalows as standard?

The all in one SEO plugin dissalows he following;
Disallow: /wp-admin/
Disallow: /wp-includes/
Disallow: /xmlrpc.php

Robots.txt - is it still best to disallow wp-admin?

Hi Guys,

For my site marriedbuthappy.com, I've tried doing a google fetch through webmaster tools. The result is 'partial' and the error URL is

I don't think this is an issue since the error is on /wp-content. which is blocked via robots.txt (and should be) anyway.

Everything else looks fine.

I thought so as well - however, when I go to Blocked Resources on my WMT, it gives me the same error URL http://marriedbuthappy.com > /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=megamenu_css&ver=1.9.1
"Rendering without this resource might impair the indexing of your web pages"

It then lists 13 pages of blocked resources that are pretty much all my posts so far. That is what I am worried about :(

Can you take a screenshot and attach it? Skitch is a good tool for this if you need one - https://evernote.com/skitch/

Attached it here - hope it explains the situation better. There are 13 pages that are "affected" by this which I hope is not impairing the indexing of my site.

Thanks, whilst I look at these can you list all the plugins that are installed on your site and also click on one of the arrows from the list in the screenshot and attach an image of the details that come up.

From what I can see there are no issues here. Google is able to see the pages just fine - Type cache:marriedbuthappy.com into the URL bar to see how Google views your site.

It seems the issue is stemming from a line of javascript code injected on the pages from the theme. I'm not sure why they are being injected but I wouldn't worry.

You have 28 pages indexed in Google at the moment. Keep an eye on that and let me know if that number drops. - http://www.evernote.com/shard/s275/sh/0debf5ff-ba11-49ca-b73b-c665756e0710/fe948bbbfb846125307928c91c327c5b

Thanks, PM sent with the details!

Ok, got the PM and reviewed the details. Try disabling the Max Mega Menu plugin and see if anything changes on your blog. It doesn;t look like that plugin is powering your menu. If nothing changes then delete the plugin and then fetch as Google again and see what happens.

Let me know :)

Thanks a lot. I deactivated max mega menu and fetched and rendered. The first attempt was partial once again - but this time it was two post images that were the culprits - not the earlier error message. I did nothing but tried again to fetch and render after few minutes. This time, it was "complete". I then quickly requested to submit to index so hopefully the chapter is closed :)

One final question - when I choose to submit to index, it gives two options - 1) Crawl only this URL 2) Crawl only this URL and direct links. I choose the second option. But is this the best choice? Do I have to do this for each of my post links?
