Pinterest Quietly Became One Of The Strongest Parts Of My Online Brand Journey

Hey WA Fam

Man, it honestly feels good sitting down writing a blog again because it’s been about three weeks since my last one on here, and time has been absolutely flying lately.

I think a lot of us hit this stage once we really start taking online business and brand-building seriously. There’s always something needing attention somewhere. If I’m not working on social media, then I’m writing blogs. If I’m not writing blogs, then I’m fixing SEO issues, redesigning website pages, cleaning up products, organizing categories, checking traffic analytics, creating new Pinterest Pins, editing images, or trying to improve how all my platforms connect together. And right now on top of all that, I’m also going through my latest audiobooks while working on brand-new book projects across a few different brands at the same time.

On top of all that, over these last three weeks I’ve also been planning a really big trip coming up for me in June. I’m heading out to Sasquatch Days in Harrison Hot Springs BC and I’ve got four days booked out there. I’ve honestly been looking forward to this trip for a long time because it’s going to give me a chance to really dig deeper into the history, the stories, the museums, the atmosphere, and the research side of everything surrounding the area.

But on top of THAT… my daughter just graduated this last week too, and man oh man, that alone takes a lot out of you emotionally and mentally as a parent because it’s one of those moments where you suddenly sit back and realize how fast life moves. One minute they’re little kids asking questions every five seconds, and the next minute you’re watching them step out into adulthood preparing for their own future.

Then you stack all of that on top of working a full-time job while trying to build brands online at the same time, and honestly… things can get very busy.

But weirdly enough, I think that’s also what’s been motivating me lately.

Because even with all the chaos, the responsibilities, the late nights, the work schedules, and trying to balance real life with online business… I’ve still been watching all these little pieces slowly start connecting together behind the scenes.

And honestly, Pinterest has been one of the biggest eye-openers for me lately.

Pinterest Completely Changed How I Look At Traffic

I still think a lot of people massively underestimate Pinterest.

Most people think Pinterest is just recipes, crafts, mood boards, or random pictures people save for later. But after spending the last couple years building multiple brands online, I can honestly say Pinterest has quietly become one of the strongest long-term organic traffic platforms I’ve personally worked with.

The reason is because Pinterest behaves completely differently than traditional social media.

Facebook gives you spikes, but Pinterest gives you longevity.

A Facebook post might explode for 24 hours and disappear forever into the algorithm abyss. But Pinterest works differently. A Pin can continue circulating for weeks, months, and sometimes even years once it gets picked up properly through search patterns and audience engagement.

That’s the part I think people massively overlook.

Pinterest behaves much more like a visual search engine than actual social media, and once you truly begin understanding that, your whole strategy starts changing. Instead of only chasing quick engagement, you start thinking long term about searchable content, searchable images, searchable blogs, and building an ecosystem that keeps working long after you post it.

And honestly, that’s where things started becoming really interesting for me.

The Analytics Started Showing Me Something Bigger

Over the last 30 days, the Wildfoot Explores Pinterest pulled 93.K impressions, 3.6K engagements, 613 saves, 76 outbound clicks, and reached over 26.8K people organically.

And honestly, that fascinates me because there’s no giant marketing company behind this.

No paid advertising campaigns.
No boosted posts.
No massive budget.

Just consistent work.

Blogs, Pinterest Pins, SEO, storytelling, images, curiosity hooks, long-term indexing, website content, and brand-building.

That’s it.

And the craziest part is watching how all these little moving pieces slowly start feeding each other over time.

  • Pinterest feeds blogs.
  • Blogs feed websites.
  • Websites feed books.
  • Books feed audiobooks.
  • Audiobooks build audience trust.
  • Social media creates discovery.

And eventually all these little pieces slowly begin stacking together into one large ecosystem around your brand.

Honestly, that’s one of the biggest things Wealthy Affiliate helped me understand over these last couple years.

Build a website. Drive traffic. Monetize it.

Simple concept.

But once you truly begin understanding how all the moving pieces connect together, you start realizing every blog post, every image, every Pinterest Pin, every search ranking, every product page, and every social media post becomes another doorway leading people deeper into your ecosystem.

The Verified Merchant Email Honestly Shocked Me

One thing that completely caught me off guard recently was Pinterest officially making Wildfoot Explores a Verified Merchant account.

And the crazy part?

I never even applied for it.

I was literally sitting there checking emails one day when Pinterest suddenly sent me a notification saying the account had officially become verified.

That honestly told me something really important.

Pinterest is clearly recognizing the consistency of the brand, the website activity, the searchable content, the trust signals, the store integration, and the long-term work happening behind the scenes.

And honestly… that fascinated me because none of this was built through giant advertising budgets or corporate marketing strategies.

This came from simply staying consistent over time.

Building blogs.
Creating Pins.
Writing stories.
Fixing SEO.
Cleaning up websites.
Learning as I go.
Improving content.
Staying active even during slower periods.

I honestly think that’s where most people quit too early because a lot of growth online happens quietly in the background before you ever really notice it happening.

The Biggest Thing I’m Personally Learning

Made in image studio

One of the biggest lessons I’m personally learning right now is that consistency beats virality almost every single time.

One viral post might feel exciting for a couple days, but building hundreds of searchable pieces of content that slowly connect together over time is where the real long-term growth actually begins. Especially once your platforms start feeding each other.

And honestly, I think that’s one of the most motivating things about building online today.

  • You don’t need to become famous overnight.
  • You don’t need millions of followers instantly.
  • You don’t need giant advertising budgets.

You just need to keep building, keep learning, keep improving, keep fixing things, keep creating, and keep showing up because eventually all those little pieces you’ve been quietly building in the background start turning into something very real.

And honestly… that’s exactly what I’ve been watching happen lately with Pinterest, my websites, my books, my audiobooks, and the Wildfoot brand overall.

The really cool part is seeing how one idea slowly grows into an entire ecosystem over time when you simply refuse to stop building it.

Because sometimes all it takes is one blog…

  • One Pinterest pin…
  • One image…
  • One idea…
  • One search result…

And suddenly that traffic, audience, opportunity, or connection you’ve been chasing finally starts finding its way back to you.

That’s the part most people quit before they ever get to see.

The opportunity is already out there.

You just have to keep building long enough to go find it.
