In this business, just like on the open road, everyone wants to stare at the speedometer. They want to see high numbers and fast movement. But any driver worth their salt knows that when you’re hauling a heavy brand, you don’t measure a trip by the last ten miles. You measure it by the momentum you’ve built over the last provincial line. If I only looked at my 30-day "logbook," I’d think I was stalling

but looking at the 90-day map tells a completely different story.

I’ve been running the Wildfoot Explores brand like I run my rig, with a focus on the long haul. And right now, the "logbook" for the last 28 days looks a little rough.

The 28-Day "Red Zone" (The Pivot)

If you look at my last month of Pinterest data, you’ll see a lot of red. My impressions are down a couple of points, and my outbound clicks took a 22% dive. But we always need to look at the bigger picture I still had 924 saves ↑ up 4.2% for saves that huge. To a greenhorn, that looks like a breakdown.

To me? That’s a Pivot.

I decided to shift gears. I’m changing lanes, moving my content strategy, and targeting a different stretch of the road. When you’re hauling a heavy load and you make a hard turn, you’re going to lose some momentum. That’s not a failure; it’s a tactical adjustment. You have to slow down to make the turn safely so you can hammer down on the straightaway.

The 90-Day View: Building the Mountain Range

When you pull the lens back and look at the last three months, the "Rocky Mountains" start to show up in the graph. Forget the last 28 day look at the 90-day stretch:
