6 Months, on Pinterest 1 Million Views, and a New Goal Unlocked

Alright, I’ve been meaning to share this with all of you...

When I kicked off this Pinterest journey back in February, I set what felt like a huge goal:

“Maybe I can hit 1 million impressions in a year…”

I wasn’t even sure if I’d make it.

But this week?
Boom it happened. In just 6 months.

📍 1.05 million+ total impressions
📍 27,440 total engagements
📍 1,930 outbound clicks
📍 5,370 saves
📍 381,730 total audience reached

And yeah, that hit me different.

I sat there, looking at that number… and all I could think was:

“Okay... wow. I thought that would feel way better than it did.
But you know what popped into my mind right after?
Yup time for another goal.”

So I did. New goal? 2.3 million for the year.
Why not? If 1M is possible, then so is more.

What I’ve Been Doing With It All

Pinterest started as a way to share my thoughts, stories, and Bigfoot-inspired lore. But over time?

It’s turning into my engine.

Now I’m using it to:

  • Promote my full book library
  • Drive traffic to my site
  • Test how far a pin can go with just a few tweaks
  • Watch what visuals and titles pull people in

This platform has quietly become my campfire, my testing lab, and my secret launchpad.

Last 30 Days Breakdown

Here’s what’s been moving:

  • 322,240 Impressions (+57%)
  • 5,790 Engagements (+3.9%)
  • 891 Outbound Clicks (+106%)
  • 1,080 Saves (+1.4%)
  • 138,520 Total Audience (+42%)
  • 2,980 Engaged Audience (+2%)

Not bad for a guy posting from hotel rooms and truck stops.

Let’s Talk Ads for a Second

I ran a test again this month. Small budget, but enough to learn from.

  • Ad Spend: CA$146.70
  • Impressions: 198,640
  • Clicks: 749
  • CPC: $0.20
  • CPM: $0.74

Honestly? Not bad at all.

The click-through was solid, and the cost per click dropped way down just like I hoped.

But here’s the catch:
Sales didn’t follow.

I brought the traffic. I got the eyes. But the conversions didn’t quite hit.

What About Book Sales?

So far in August:

  • $43.66 in royalties
  • Across 10 different books

Steady, but not where I want it yet.

And that’s okay. Because now I know where to look next the offer, the landing page, the pin-to-sale connection. It’s all about fine-tuning.

What’s Next?

Now it’s time to get a little sharper.

✅ Refine how I link to my books
✅ Clean up the path from pin → reader → buyer
✅ Test more styles, visuals, and headlines
✅ Keep watching what’s getting clicked vs ignored

This isn’t failure. This is data.
And I’m learning in real-time how to take curiosity and clicks and turn them into readers and fans.

Wrapping It Up One Big Win at a Time

So yeah... the first big goal? Smashed.
Now we set our sights on the next one.

What started as an idea is now a real machine and the library is just getting started.

I appreciate that so much, and I’m really glad it inspired you to revamp your account! Honestly, I just post fun stuff, ask questions, pin about 4 times a week, and run an ad here and there.

I’m still learning tooI wish I had the key, but I’m sure one day it’ll appear. For now, I just follow what feels right. My success really comes from the big man himselfpeople love Bigfoot, and so do I. Put your heart into it, and things will start to turn around.

Your numbers are always terrrific.

But now you have to shift your attitude. Your goal is NOT reaching 2 millions views.

You goal is creating your BRAND. And a brand that converts.

I am pretty sure you are very close to creating a perfect brand but you are still too much fascinated by
VANITY METRICS.

The big numbers don't mean anything if you don't get people to buy what you offer.

So, forget about the 2 millions views, and DIVE DEEP into creating a SOLID BRAND.

I know that the BRAND is YOU. The moment you will reveal yourself as the person behind this projects, all your efforts will be monetized!

You’re right, the views are great, but really, that is the brand. Without people, there’s no story. I’ve got a few things in the fire that might help on the earning side, but I believe good things come to those who wait.

Still, I hear you earnings matter. It’s not doing too bad, this month was almost $50, last month hit $60, and I’ve got two big promos running now with a bigger rollout after. I do get caught up in the fun stuff and forget to push the income side sometimes.

Lately I’ve been thinking about showing more of me. Just ordered a dash cam so I can start filming the bush roads I haul might be the piece that makes it all click.
