Hard, consistent work pays off.
I would like to point out to everyone who may be struggling with getting your sites on page one of Google.
I have with consistent and steady work, consisting of good quality posts and articles daily, gotten my site, which is in about as highly competitive a niche as exists to page one on 3 keywords and page two on 1.
I am beating out people and companies who are spending big money to get their sites ranked, and I am doing it strictly from what I have learned here, and I am not spending anything but time doing it.
By the way, the site is producing quite a nice little chunk of change, and now it is time to ramp up!
Just wanted to let people know who might be sitting on the fence and getting worried that they are not making a difference, it works. Have patience, and work for it, and it will come.

Hi Shawn, thanks for posting this. It's really encouraging and motivating.
Do you plan out your work days? Do you plan what articles you are going to write on certain days? or do you just decide what to write, right before you write it?
Good questions. On this site the majority of the time was consumed researching and writing the posts for all the individual states laws. Once that was finished I have been using Google alerts, and just writing about what is in the news every day. I check the articles that come through, and do a bit more research on the topic, then write one post and two articles. I do not plan anything before the morning, as I never know what the topic will be in the news for that day. unless the prior day was unusually busy with topics. It is working so far with this niche. Hope that helps :)
Yeah, it definitely helps. I like to see how people who are having success work. Thanks for sharing. :)
Shawn, are you posting once a day or do you have a weekly schedule? I've heard that we should have a post on our site a day but when I look at some sites I don't see a post a day. I've found writing articles has helped, especially SA.
Rick, the best way is a post a day, try to do them every day at the same time, and experiment with what time works best for sharing your posts through social sharing. The timing does make a difference.
I know, I have been off and on with the every day post, but I just read some training that stated 2 articles and a post a day can lead to some serious traffic, and when your site is already converting this can be nothing but good. :)
Way to go, to think a few months ago you were doubting the fact that all those articles were not ranking. Just shows give it time and work and you can make it!
Exactly my point of this blog. When you start to doubt yourself, step back and take a breath before you do something you may regret! :)
Congratulations Shawn. Keep up the good work and don't forget to sleep from time to time!
I'm supposed to be and I need too. I have several projects lined up but I don't feel good enough to get anything done. I'm at least 4 months behind!
I will send you a PM in the morning, I might have something that is already to go, it just needs traffic. Maybe you are up to it. :)
You go girl! ;-) But seriously you work as hard as I used to in the beginning, after every work day and all day every weekend. That is the work ethic or drive one needs to have to make things happen. How badly do you want this? How much time are you going to devote to making your dreams come true. No one else will do it for you, its all YOU. Congrats brother!
Thanks David, we got it there, now lets work it! I just received two new consultations, check your inbox. :)
Just getting online to check, nice work. I think I owe you for a couple. Anyhow went to put up a nice juicy article with a killer keyword title and low and behold you already had it!!
awww, lol, I have 4 waiting right now for approval, and one I am writing now. I am ramping it up so get ready bro
Thanks for sharing Shawn. Great for the rest of us to hear and good on you. I know you're working hard and putting out great stuff.
