Obstacles
Some obstacles are only smoke screens to force you to learn some lesson.
Everything that happens is for a reason and is with purpose.
Have you ever been so stumped on something that you stopped everything you was previously doing to fully immerse yourself in trying to figure out how to overcome a newly presented obstacle?
Well I have many times. More recently on this platform.
I wanted to do some editing on my footer and create a child theme but for some reason I could not do the things all the tutorials were teaching me. I was following the process but for some reason certain things were not doing what they were supposed to be doing.
This caused me to research so many other ways around in an effort to accomplish what I was attempting. Where people were suggesting plug-ins I had to do it by hand. My theme editor was not working and I never asked for help (not sure why, but I think it was purposeful). I started researching reasons why theme editor was not working and I dug into my coding to see if something was disabled, but I couldn't find that either. When I finally learned how to do everything from scratch I returned to my WordPress days later and everything is working as it should have been. So I can do the easy methods, but I already know how to do it the hard way (which is now easy to me lol) and I can also help troubleshoot a non functioning theme editor.
I was very active on Wealthy Affiliate yesterday and I was excited to see my rank change today. When I signed on however I noticed something was wrong. I seen all these activity points, but my rank was the same as it was yesterday. I thought something was wrong, especially since I had Creator points when I didn't create anything yesterday. I was quite sure something was wrong. I went to live chat to see if anyone else was talking about their member rank not moving and no one was talking about it. I thought to ask...but I didn't.
I ended up doing research in the search bar about member rank and I found out a lot of information and came across some helpful trainings. I read how it gets more competitive the more your rank gets closer to 1. So after giving up on my notion that something was wrong and to just focus on continuing my activity, I look and my rank has now changed! Lol, I knew there had to be a delay in the system. I'm happy it has moved 18 points and that I have learned so much more about member ranking and the benefits.
I share this to say obstacles are blessings in disguise. They offer opportunity to gain knowledge and experience to add to your wisdom.
The purpose of obstacles are to create a better you! Embrace it :)

Ha I wondered the same thing about my rank today too!! Great minds think alike, right Sharlita!! Anyways, thank for your post! This is a good one as it presents a lot of ways to use the tools and training we have here at WA and not always depend on asking for help! I tend to forget sometimes because of course I like the human interaction but I do find that I will learn a lot by actually digging in and reading on stuff that takes me to what I needed to know! Very well put!

I don't tend to give the rank a great deal of importance, Sharlita. I much prefer to concentrate on my website...
It's not my highest importance but it is something I like to monitor and improve. I am aiming towards ambassadorship while building my own site. It's fun :)
Great write! This reminds me of a song Tamela Mann sings. I don't know the title, but it reminds His followers of how He uses obstacles to take them higher.
