The Edge Of Destiny
Every possibility begins with the courage to Imagine!!! I love that quote! It is filled with so much promise and potential, you feel as if you are on the edge of Destiny! However, being at the edge, one either Fly's or falls, and that is usually based on Choice.
And that is what I wanted to talk about this morning... CHOICE...we All have the power to CHOOSE our own path, live the way we CHOOSE to live, and deals with the consequences of our CHOICES. Decisions made before this day are the reason you are where you are today. I am currently obtaining my Bachelors degree in Business and Entrprenuership with Ashford University, as well as learning as much as I can learn here at WA and working a part-time job, and I feel confident that this heavy schedule I have chosen will make my future self very happy!
But, what about the mistakes and wrong choices that haunt you from the past? Are you letting regret, or fear, or insecurities get in your way? I know that most of us have felt that way from time to time, and that's OK, that keeps us humble and aware that we should always be wise, smart, and thorough when making tough decisions, but don't let those negative thoughts rob you of your power to choose by being frozen, stuck, or immobile, thereby letting opportunities get away. I am a writer and one of our assignments was to think about our past, and how it shaped not only the direction of our lives but influenced who we are and impacted our decisions; and I would like to share here, the original draft of that assignment. It actually flowed from my imagination in poetry form, but it is very thought provoking and although I wrote it, it still has a profound effect on me. It is my hope that it will deeply touch someone out there and help them in whatever way its message can! Hope you enjoy it!
REFLECTIONS OF CHOICE
As I sit down to reflect upon my past...
I start to remember, Suddenly, way too fast...
So many memories floating across the projection reel of my mind; Specific scenes, challenging to find,
And it's hard to pause this speedy rewind...
Sifting through the Chaos and heartaches left behind,
Grasping for anything special, something so refined...As my memory, selectively, Unwinds....
And, slowly Now, the scenes from my life, begin to settle in...And, Nostalgia, begs to live again.
Pulling me back, thru every beginning's end.
Listen, if you dare, my friend...as all the endings of beginnings, collectively start to blend...Into the prose of creative Flare and Imagination that I send...
Hoping that you truly care, about the many special memories, wrapped inside my head...And I want to take you there...to all the crazy places, to meet all those special faces, that my life's journey has brought me thru, But, I must warn you, to be aware...For, the Destination,Really, can't be shared...and I wonder what you can do,and what you really knew.
Do you know how your journey is supposed to end?
Have you got a clue? What this journey of my memories intends to show you?
And can you help me with this broken road I mend?
By sharing back to me, your own special memories..
And WE, one and then the other...get to see the Wonders of each other, that no one ever knew....
What would you say, if you really knew? Could we each handle what the other has been thru? Would you see me, would I see myself in you?
My path has been a long and winding road, with many bumps along the way, meant to lead me astray.
But, that is not a game that I intend to play! Our roads only lead us, as we Choose...
Please hear this profound Truth..
YOU ARE IN CONTROL! The Power of Choice directs the way the path shall go! Do you hear the Wisdom of this clever word play? Whose path are you walking down today?

YOU hold the Power to Change..your Journey"s circumstance. Are you using the Power of Free Will. .to Wisely Choose? Or do you leave it up to Fate and the randomness of Chance? Are my roads and your roads the same? Or do your shoes boogie to a different dance? You must wield the Powerful Sword of Choice...so if , at Journey's end, you can't rejoice, there is no one you can blame, if your Destination is held in someone else's name! ----Stacey B.
