I was making a keyword list and I noticed that the keywords 'find a service' has poor SEO ranking but when you make it 'find a service in my area'..the SEO ranking of that keyw

It's because Google will also show article related with only "in my area" and also with "'find a service in my area" term which will have a different ranking and traffic than "find a service".

So it is ok to do this and my results won't only be local?

Sure that is completely OK.

The keyword doesn't change the targeting areas unless you have put the name of the place such as "something in Paris" and so on because if you put the area name, definitely when people type the name of that place, your article pop up but that doesn't mean it will only target that area, it will still target other keywords which are in your whole article.

However, if you really want to target only local area, don't want to target worldwide, then you can do that within Google Search Console. But, I don't want you to do that because it is always better to have more traffic in your content which you can get only targeting worldwide. It doesn't matter even if your content is area specific.

thanks sounds good and makes sense

Check the Google tools console!

if it shows GREAT in conpetitions, it means Google might pick it up well

Check out my site https://themedidex.com front page blog roll. In most of my posts my featured image is the right size with

What is the original image size? You can go to the media file display and check the size of each image.

I suspect that the original size of the image is smaller than the others.

It’s around 600x400. All my other featured images are also around that size and seem to resize correctly for the thumbnail

It appears to be the same to me.

When I put in an amazon custom ad it is showing up on my mobile site but not on the desktop web version of the site. Is there a way to fix this?

Have you tried a different browser?
You might have an ad blocker installed.

Yes it was an adblocker blocking them. It sucks that they got blocked by them, might be better to do an image link so they show up against ad blockers

Well. They are ads.
Makes sense they get blocked by adblockers. ;)

I sometimes do what you just suggested, too. :)
