Avid Gamer, Hopeful Writer, Lover of Words, and Soaring Ambition are some phrases you could use to describe me, but those alone don't tell the full story.

Growing up, I took to playing games for most of my free time, and that hasn't changed at all even now. Gaming is something I can see myself holding a vested interest in for a while, and each game has left an impact on me, whether large or small, temporary or permanent.

Writing is another passion of mine, and with the occasional flair for the dramatic, combined with a thorough enjoyment of reading and processing information, I'm sure I can create something truly great. Understatement.

So while many people may see gaming as a hobby or a time-killer, I see it as something more. Something that can create fantastic experiences and memories, something that can bridge the gap between our many differences, and can be a sheer pleasure to boot! To put it simply, it's so much more, and I aim to be an expert in the field of gaming.

HI!!! And welcome to WA Premium. You won’t regret this decision!! The information available here is never ending!! And the training is Incredible!! Gobble it up!!!

Follow the training! I cannot stress this enough. Do not skip around. Do the lessons in the order in which they are. As well as the tasks that follow each of those lessons.

Go at your pace. Slow and steady is my new rule. You'll find you can't wait to learn more in the following days. I did. There were a few lessons that I had to watch twice. If that's what you have to do, do it!

And soon you will have yourself an awesome website. Amazing direction, and the tools that you need to succeed in whatever it is you want to do!

You CAN do this!!

Be awesome!! Be amazing!!! And be successful!!

Hey Cornelius,

I forgot to mention the other day that I am going to still be offering you my awesome bonuses if you join within the next 4 days.

Here are the bonuses that you are going to be getting:

(1) You are going to get a 59% discount on your first month Premium membership (only $19)
(2) You are going to get personal and private access to me! If you ever have a question or need help with your campaigns, I will be there. Where else can you access the CEO of the company for help?
(3) I am going to be giving you my "Diamond Traffic Bonus". This is going to show you how I walk into absolutely any niche and get unlimited traffic.

But only if you join in the next 4 days (this is what I call my "action takers" bonus).

Anyways, just wanted to mention this. Hope your training is going well Cornelius and Reply to this if you do have any “pending” questions. :)

I'd like to take you up on your offer, Kyle, but I just can't this second... I still do plan on trying to go premium in the hopefully not-to-distant future, though!

I do have another question, actually, and it might be my best one yet.

I think all of us here are very proud and protective of our works, so I was wondering if you knew of any ways to deter or prevent plagiarism from our sites.

My biggest fear is that someone could easily steal my content, and post it on their site, possibly outranking my own. I also think this is holding me back from posting my content somewhat. I'm still working on things like articles and possible videos in the meantime, but I do worry someone might just take my content and run with it.

Another question as well:

One of my posts will include links to sites I've used as reference when making my article. These sites are official company sites, and some of them do have a digital store. Would there be any issue with using anchor text instead of just posting the link on my site? (Ex. Using the word "here" with here being a link to the site, as opposed to www. domain .com?)

Thanks for understanding, and thanks in advance as well for your response!

Their plug-ins that you can ask your website to prevent people from copying the content, so yes, there is a way to do this. In saying, there are many automated programs that are going out there and scraping the Internet to take content.

That is just life and that is something that you can come to expect as you gain a brand, But do not of that Google does not reward duplicate content, in fact they will deindex website with duplicate content all over it. So there is a built in "punishment" by search engines for websites that are copying content like this.

Thank you.

That is very reassuring.

I think I read something about not shortening links on my site, but I can't tell where I got that from... Would it be ok to do so on my own site? I just published an article and didn't want a bunch of www. domain .coms on the article.

Yes, you can shorten your links if you want, that is up to you. I typically don't do these days but it is up to you.

And of course, you can add text based links to your website. You don't have to show the URL.

Whether you are adding a link through SiteContent (here at WA), or through your website back office, the process is fairly straightforward.

You will want to highlight the text that you want to create a link for, then click the "link" icon within the editor. This looks like a chain link. From there you will be able to add your links.

I have attached screenshots of both below.

Thanks! sorry, I really meant text-based links, but you covered that as well! I just forgot how to describe it...

I appreciate the help!

Smaller question this time around.

On the Site Content section in "Websites," what number level is best? 1 or 5? I ask because my level is now toward one of the two extremes, but I don't know if it's a good or bad increase.

Thanks again!
Reply
Kyle Premium
It will be 5, as you create content and establish yourself within the SiteContent platform this will only continue to move upward. ;)

Just a quick last question from me for now. I noticed that Amazon was listed as an affiliate program. Are there certain rules/restrictions in place in order to become an affiliate for Amazon?

And if you also wanted to, I have another question you could answer: Is there a certain point you'd recommend monetizing the blog? I'd like to start as soon as possible, but I wonder if affiliate programs would like to see a certain amount of traffic first or something similar. I also wonder if starting to monetize ASAP will alienate my audience.

That's all I can think of for now! Hopefully I could go premium when things aren't as financially straining...
Reply
Kyle Premium
Yes, they do have rules associated with the program, as do all affiliate programs/networks. Nothing out of the ordinary though.

You will get to the "promotional" aspect as you go through the training, the first focus with your website is to build out the foundation, the content and get rankings. Once you have rankings and traffic then you can focus on what you are going to promote.

There are 10,000's of affiliate programs and millions of products you are going to be able to promote as an affiliate, don't ever worry about there being nothing to promote within a given niche. There will likely be 100's if not 1,000's of things you can promote. ;)

There is no sense in putting to much thought into what you are going to promote until you have content in place and an audience to promote to. You will definitely get there though!

Hey Carson, I actually do have a question for you now:

Do you know of any ways to deter or prevent people from Plagiarizing your content?

I think my niche is a somewhat competitive one, and worry that some people might steal my content, claim it as their own, and post it on their site, possibly outranking me in searches or causing similar issues.

I think this might be subconsciously holding me back a bit in regards to my site...

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)

I think I have my niche now. It's not uber specific, but I just decided Switch games would be a good starting point. I created my site last night, and I have another question:

Is there a way to change the page order on my site? I'm sure I could do it with a bit of code fiddling, but I'd prefer to do it from my site's back office.

It's not too big a deal, but I accidentally published the Privacy Policy page before the About Me page, and it just looks weird in that order.

Thanks in advance!

You can add these custom menus to organize your top menu in any way in which you like, as well as create sub-menus (for themes that will support this). You can also use these custom menus to add within your side widgets on your website (within your sidebar).

Here is a tutorial on how to create custom menus: I use custom menus on all of my websites (over-ride that default menu). It allows much more control and organization....both good things!
