Do you ever think that Amazon isn't giving you credit?

I asked my mother to use a link from my site to make her order for amazon. I needed a sale to keep the acount open. Well amazon shows that there were 2 items ordered through my site but it doesn't show that any were delivered and I didn't get credit for it. I know that she received her order already though.

If you are currently getting commissions from Amazon, could you tell me how this works?

You won't get credit from Amazon for anything purchased by anyone they know is associated with you. Family, friends, their purchases don't count. One more nasty thing about working with Amazon.

Thanks for that info.

How would Amazon know whether or not anyone who ordered something from your website is a friend or family member?

They are experts when it comes to algorithms. They have tracked every link you shared, anyone you ever sent anything to, and tons of other data that you never knew they had. There are public databases that says this person is related to that person. There's so much public info out there, plus any transactional history they have. Amazon is the ultimate Big Brother watching everything you do, tied with Facebook.

Thanks for the info, Jeannine!

It might require some time. If the items were from more than one seller on Amazon it could take a bit longer for the paperwork to go through. I had the same experience. One of the items that a friend purchased through my site did not go through right away. However, now it shows on my Amazon account. I'll bet it will show up soon.

Thanks. I feel better. It's not the commission I'm worried about. I was just concerned that I could be being cheated.

Keeping Amaz0n all in the family is a great idea, Shaina!

May be give it some times and see if the purchase will be credited to you in due course. Amazon does some checks on purchase, especially on new account and if it suspects the purchase is made through ways which is prohibited, Amazon will not give the credit. In some cases, it will ban the account involved.

I am not trying to discourage you but give it some times and if the purchases are not credited to you, I would suspect they are not going to credit you.

If your account is still opened, I would encourage you to move forward and ignore the case.

So far on my Amazon account, I have 4 items ordered only 2 items were shipped I am waiting for the only 2 items to ship. My understanding is you only get credit when the items ship. I hope this helps you out.

Mary

I thought that might be the case but i am sure they were shipped because she already received her order

Then you should have gotten credit for then I don't understand why you didn't. I would contact Amazon about that and see what they say.

Mary

You get credit once the items are shipped; does Amazon show them as shipped?

They do not show as shipped but I know for a fact they were shipped because she already received her order
