Domain i own vs register a domain?

I you already have a domain registered or pointed here, you can choose the domain I own option. If you want to register a domain, select that option.
Yes you can get indexed and rank on your own domain. In fact, it's preferred to a free siterubix domain.
I'm assuming you're just getting started and haven't finished the training. I recommend that you start with the free option and use a siterubix subdomain. You can register a domain and move your site to it at a later date. It's a simple process.

hi community, when choosing a website design, it's the outlaying of the design that I get, right? not necessarily the details in it. also, do I need to transfer my domain name
Hello Seyon. Your theme determines the overall appearance of your website, including such things as sidebars, footers, colors, and typography. You then add the content. Changing your theme is an easy process.
If you already have a domain registered elsewhere then, yes, you should transfer it to WA so that you get the benefit of the hosting included with your WA membership. Remember, you can host up to 10 websites here.
If you don't have a domain yet, or if you need another, we recommend doing that through WA. Again, a very simple process.

Thank you so much. I did purchase a domain for $13 dollars, did I had to do that? Does WA offer free domain, or I had to pay?
WA now includes a free domain when you enroll in the annual plan. There is no free domain if you are going monthly.
Good luck in getting your website set up and don't be afraid to ask if you need any help.
if i had known, i would not have purchased that domain, because I did an annual plan, thanks Candp.
Did you buy the $299.00 Black Friday deal or the regular $495.00 plan? The later is the one that gives you the free domain and if you did that one you can save that domain entitlement until you are ready to start your second website.
in my site manager, i notice a message stating word press hasn't been installed, what does that mean, and how to that?
I'm trying to think back to when we started here. If you haven't published your first website yet, that could be the reason, after all, WordPress has nothing to work with until you do. If the message is still there after you publish your website then contact SiteSupport. They are absolutely great and will help you out right away.
By the way, I responded to the question you asked in LiveChat about Google. If you didn't see it either take a look soon (comments don't stay there forever) or let me know and I can send you a message on your profile.
I'll contact them, i dont think ive published a website yet, I think I had just registered my domain name, that's it, stuck right there. thanks anyway
Like I said, it's likely that you haven't published yet but if it makes you more comfortable, go ahead and contact SiteContent now. maybe let me know what they say if you get the chance?
Yes, the basic look/framework is defined by the theme you choose. I have 3 sites and use a different theme for each.
If you want to use the domain, you'll need to transfer it to WA or point it to WA's servers.
