Hi my dear WA friends,
I just want to share with you the latest site I have launched for my homeplace. With an intention to empower the people and to promote our place, thus, the creation of the website. Currently, we are not having a website for our municipality - so am thinking this might help those who are looking for our place's history or useful information. The website is still a work in progress.
I would appreciate it much if you could give me your feedback especially within the website and I would be happy to return the favor as well, thinking that it's the least I could do.

Gorgeous website Jhen. It looks very impressive. I too had a page speed issue because of images. What I did to get the google page speed from 30/100 to 92/100 was to actually remove the images and optimize them prior to uploading them. I found resizing them to approximately the size you will show them on your website, and then adding 20% compression taking them from 100% to 80% quality solved the loading issue.
You can use most image editors and online image compressors to do this. I believe it is best to optimize images prior to uploading and then use the image optimization plugins as a back-up if still needed. Wishing you great success with this amazing website. I will be back for sure. :)))
Thanks Abigail, I agree. That's what I've doing when I've found out that the performance plugin is still not sufficient to improve the page load. Happy I've found a really cool image compressor online. All the best!

Only thing I would say is that the main pic of the theme is very large and takes up a lot of space, forcing me to scroll to see the content. I know it's part of the theme so you may not be able to make it smaller but the pictures are truly amazing. Good luck Jhen. Olive

Hi Your site looks lovely and the pictures are gorgeous. It is informative and seems to achieve what you set out to do. My only advice is that because of all the beautiful photos it was a bit slow to load.
There are lots of photo compressions plugins for wordpress that compress the photo and make them quicker to load. I use one
