Thanks that's what I thought after I saw it so I disabled it and thanks for replying.

It's called a ping back and it used to have some relevance but now has less impact. A ping back used to be a legitimate way for fellow site owners to create a back link to each other's sites. But Spammers got wind of the system and abused it as they always do (and usually get little to no benefit from it).

Others may disagree but the only responses you want on your site are from actual people and those that actually have something valid to say, in other words, not SPAM. There's a pretty good chance that the ping back you are getting to your site is nonsense and should be deleted.
