I would like to introduce you to Gary And Monty our adopted and much loved Dogs. We rescued them from Sarah Sanctuary near San Antonio. You would not believe this place. We were surprised to find such a variety of animals there. Dogs, Cats, chickens, goats, Longhorns and the largest pig I have every seen. The pig was close to 700 pounds . The owner of the pig passed away and left instructions to ship the pig to Sarah Sanctuary. I found this incredible, what a faithful owner and a very loved pig. Sarah Sanctuary has some very interesting Donors which includes Willie Nelson. Willie, lives about 5 miles from us in Briarcliff, Sadly I have not met him personally, however we have seen him perform. Willie is truly a legend not only in Texas but around the world.

I found a picture in an adoption add of Gary. He was as cute he could be and about 1 year in age. I remember looking at Gary's picture and remembering my brother Gary who passed away in 2004. I had to go see this dog. As luck would have it Gary's personality turned out to be much like my bothers. He is little Hyperactive, ornery, funny and Gary will chase anything that would dare come in the yard. He is also a digger. He dug out a basement under his 5 foot dog house and that is were you find him in the heat of the day. We were only planning on one addition to our family, however that quickly changed. Gary Below

We walked to another pen and Monty came over and sat down right between us, he was the sweetest ever. They estimated him at close to 2 years old. I guess you know what happened. Yep you are right we drove off with 2 wonderful dogs. Monty is a talker, seriously we are convinced that he understands everything we say. He chews us out if we come home late. He is a tattle tale on his brother and herds us away from what he believes to be danger. He barks to get out in the morning and then comes back to the porch and tells us to feed him. Truly I have never heard a dog talk like this one. We have not gotten a video but we will. We will send it out as soon as we have one.

Monty Below

Gary and Monty are best friends, they wrestle, chase squirrels, raccoons, and have their fare share of skunk encounters. We are now bringing them in right at dusk to keep them away from skunks. Is there anyone out there that can tell us how to get rid of that horrible skunk smell?
