Reading about this system in an art related blog website, I was intrigued in looking more into this 10,000 hour rule system from a book by Malcom Gradwell, called "Outliners: Story of Success", particular in Chapter 2.

To summarize, the theme goes around a research done by Malcom Gradwell consisting of essays of charismatic successful individuals such as Mozart, Bill Gates, Bill Joy, Bobby Fischer, and the Beatles acquiring their world class skill level mastery in clocking 10,000 hours and more worth of practice in their professions.

I arranged a google hunt on this 10,000 hour system, and came across a few search hits of articles debunking/bashing Gradwell's research. From my viewpoints, these articles gave me the feeling the skeptics were taking Gradwell's studies too analytical to the point Gradwell himself had to make an article explaining the bigger picture of his research.

My input on Gradwell's system: It should be taken as a guideline tool and if it benefit your work style preference, although, I want to piggy back with the 10,000 hour system which I highly admired about the conclusion on the research if you want to become famous and/or successful. You have to be willing to put in the consistency effort.

The main idea of this blog entry is to share this tool for individuals who are juggling multiple jobs, have a family and children to take care of, and other responsibility to be accountable for. I know everyone is not in the financial free zone or full-time entrepreneur status.

At some point we all had this hurdle in the back of our minds. "Am I doing enough work each day towards my website/business"

Anyhow on to the research concluding, 10,000 hour of work/practice: can be accomplished in estimate 10 years, which is broken down:

1000 hours a year

20 hours a week

**3 hours everyday**

Not a shabby daily goal to add to your list and for the over-achievers,(have to pick on you peeps out there) You're all probably going to grind more time than this on some/everyday(s). In fact, it's okay to put forth the extra effort. All our situations are different, so, do whatever you need to accomplish your personal objective as long you don't burn yourself out.

Thank you, Alexander

This method actually help to solve my issue of juggling between working towards my WA content, college, and art courses. Although, there are days I don't make the 3 hour mark for each of them but I been consistent enough to clock more then 1 hour.

Indeed it's a long road, Success overnight is the impossible and wrong mind set to have towards entrepreneurship.

To Your Success.
