Does one need a blog on their website?
I was thinking of having a quirky website that would randomly generate a product of a niche with an affiliate link to each product
Having a blog is good to have, it helps build trust among your visitors about your product or service you have to offer. when visitors find valued content sometimes it's shared among others, drawing more traffic. A good blog should have optimal related keywords which helps with Google ranking and Google trust as more traffic draws to your site. Finding keywords to create subjects to start a blog could be found within your products, website, and our daily encounters.
Hi - you need to attract visitors to your site, and to do that, your posts need to be ranked highly by Google. That is achieved by writing blogs that have valuable information and are what people are searching for.
If you just plan on having hundreds of different products, then you will be just another shop among the millions already out there and nobody will find your site.
It is you website, it is your business. You know more what's best for you. But blog posts do drive traffic to site especially if content regularly updated.
Google will not rank content like that. Not unless it belongs to a massive website that has other valuable content. There is no need for a "personal blog" but you will need to create high quality informational content if you want to make sales with this business model.

Writing a blog about product and services you are selling ensures your site is honest and you know what you are talking about because you have researched your topic really well.

Hi all.
I am having trouble settling with a niche for my website.
One idea that I was thinking of is a personal blog with content relating to my weight loss/healt
Nothing is too complicated if you realy want it. The following post form Nathaniell, a top WA member and blogger, can help:
https://onemorecupof-coffee.com/best-weight-loss-affiliate-programs/
https://onemorecupof-coffee.com/best-vegan-affiliate-programs/
Tom
My recommendation would be to focus on vegan weight loss for example but instead of a personal blog write informative posts, product reviews etc. Plenty of keywords and demand in that niche.
