Ways to Pay for Your Wealthy Affiliate Annual Subscription

Paying for WA?

If you’re new to Wealthy Affiliate or just discovering it, you might be a little concerned about the cost of the annual Premium subscription. I get it — it’s a commitment. But let me reassure you: I’ve been a member for almost 11 years, and I can confidently say the subscription is not only worth it… It’s more than worth it!

I’ve been a Premium member for years, and I’m fortunate to have locked in the $299/year rate. but with all the added benefits, including the AI content creator and more, The Premium + membership of $99/month blog hosting that is included. Where can you start a business for less than that? One big reason I’ve stuck with WA so long is that I’ve often been able to cover most — if not all — of the membership cost using the skills, tools, and opportunities WA gives me.

Here are some of the ways I (and others) have paid for the annual subscription over the years:

💸 1. Affiliate Commissions from Your Blog Sites

Once your affiliate blog gets traction, commissions can add up — and WA teaches you exactly how to build a site that earns.

🌐 2. Build Websites or Blogs for Others

Using the skills you learn inside WA, you can charge clients for website creation. I’ve done this myself and it’s a solid income stream.

🏢 3. Host Sites for Local Businesses

As a Premium member, you get hosting for multiple websites. I’ve used that to host small business sites for a monthly fee.

📚 4. Create and Sell eBooks or Paperbacks

Some WA members have written books and now earn royalties. With tools like ChatGPT to help generate ideas or content, this is something I’m now considering too.

🎨 5. Sell Graphics and Logos on Fiverr or Upwork

If you’ve picked up design skills (or used AI tools to help), platforms like Fiverr and Upwork are great places to earn money on the side.

💎 6. Use WA’s New Member Helper Rewards System

WA recently introduced a points system where helpful members can earn towards their subscription and other perks. I enjoy helping people, so this is a win-win for me. My goal is to earn $10/month from this system alone.

Over the years, between affiliate income, building sites, hosting for others, and now exploring things like self-publishing and the helper system, I’ve managed to nearly pay for my subscription every single year.

If you're wondering whether the WA subscription is worth it — I can tell you from experience: it absolutely is. And with a little creativity and effort, it can even pay for itself.

Hi Shirley.. Like you, I am grandfathered in and have kept up my membership even when I wasn't able to use the platform for a long stretch of time.

I love it here and, like you, one of my next goals is to self- publsh on KDP Amazon.

I am also aiming for $10 from the WA Helper and Creator system.

Best wishes
Isabella

I wish us both luck to reach those goals. Today I’m down with severe back pain this afternoon so nothing will get done. I’m in my recliner trying to listen to healing frequencies but my mind won’t slow down and m having restless legs.

Sorry about your back pain. I often suffer from it too - especially when I am standing in the kitchen cooking. I often need to sit or lie down for a bit in between. I have gone back to using cod liver oil capsules and the last couple of days have been much better.

All the best. I am off to bed. It's close to 1 am.

Thanks, Shirley, for these ideas!

I appreciate them :)

Thanks for posting this blog; it came at the perfect time! I appreciate the variety of options you outlined; it highlights just how flexible and powerful the WA platform is. I've been a Wealthy Affiliate member for a couple of years, though I haven’t been very active. Still, it’s such a valuable platform that I want to keep the membership, so I'm looking for ways to pay for the renewal subscription. Thank you.

TParikh,. Yes, once you join WA and find out how awesome it is, it's tough to let go. I found I couldn't let go and now, after a several-year "health break," I'm back and going strong to meet most of my goals by the end of the year, hopefully. With all that Eric and Carson have been doing to enhance this platform, I will likely be able to reach my goals. -Shirley
