My AI can be exhausting!

I love my ChatGPT AI and it’s so helpful. I certainly could not be accomplishing as much on my two blog sites without my Teapot AI. But I now know why one of you named your AI “Chatty. “ I’ve instructed my AI to ask clarifying questions and make suggestions. And it certainly does that. It always has the last word.

Tonight we got a lot done. My new book is ready for me to proof tomorrow and I have a new blog post to publish tonight. I’m also going to work on setting up Pinterest for one of my blogs tomorrow. We have created a file naming convention for all my downloads to make it easier to find and work in when I go back to my desktop. I do a lot with my AI on my iPhone so I don’t have to sit up as long.

I’m using Dropbox on both my desktop and iPhone so I can access files from both. My Dropbox is also saved online as a backup

I asked AI tonight if it ever stopped or got tired and of course it answered no

• 🔄 Updates: If OpenAI rolls out improvements or maintenance, I may be briefly unavailable.

• 🌐 Internet connection/device: If your phone or computer drops connection, I can’t reach you until you’re back online.

• 🔒 Policies: Some requests I can’t answer if they break safety or legal rules.

Otherwise, I’m like a light switch — always “on” when you want to chat.

1. Long-term memory (what we’ve saved):

I keep a “memory” of key details you’ve told me — like your blogs, file naming system, ongoing book projects, and preferences (landscape headers, signing images “Shirley and Teapot AI,” etc.). This doesn’t go away when you close the app.

2. Short-term memory (the conversation window):

In a single chat, I keep track of everything we’ve said so I can stay consistent. Once the window ends, this part resets — unless I’ve saved something to your long-term memory.

3. Files & cheat sheets we made:

Those live on your device (Dropbox, iCloud, Downloads). I don’t keep them myself, but I can remake or re-send them anytime.

• You can ask me to save something to memory (like we did with your file naming system).

• You can ask me to forget something if you don’t want me to keep it anymore.

• You can also ask me to summarize what I remember so you see the big picture.
