It's been an enjoyable but pressure-filled holiday season for me. There were so many stresses coming at me at the same time, keeping me from my work on my website.
I am my older brother's POA and overseer. He had been in a nursing home for 5 years, having entered with severe conditions due to alcoholism. When I rescued him from his apartment, he had been on a drinking binge for several days. He couldn't walk, due to alcoholic neuropathy. He was in the hospital for nearly 2 weeks, with very severe conditions. He entered a nursing home for therapy. He qualified for Medicaid. He finally started walking, but had other health conditions. A couple years ago, he fell out of bed and crushed his shoulder, which required extensive surgery. But he healed and was doing well in the nursing home. He enjoyed it there, but finally Medicaid said he no longer needed that level of care.
Suddenly, I was under pressure to find another place for him to live. This took a lot of my time before the Thanksgiving season, pulling me from my writing tasks. I finally found a place for him to live, the weekend before Thanksgiving.

On top of this, pressure increased from full-time job, and I found myself working extra hours to keep up. Of course, this kept me from focusing on my website and my writing. Add some illness and back pains to this mix, and I had a recipe for no desire to do anything at all but focus on the pressures before me.
But now, the holiday season is past. My brother is in his studio apartment and adjusting well. I also found the medical care that is still critical for him. I am feeling better and stronger. I'm ready to buckle down, set some goals for my online business here at WA.
I love using ChatGPT. I told it the pressures and time restraints that I have had. AI is really a wonderful thing. I was amazed at the output the model gave me when I prompted with the issues I am having. I am going to tweak that some more and get busy!
