Wealthy Affiliate is a fountain of great information for all aspects of website and blog business building. But while we have much at our disposal here at WA, there are plentiful resources to be found around the web. It's always good to get some alternate views.

Ricky and Jim from Income School have produced some fabulous programs and youtube videos teaching the ins and outs of blogging and niche website businesses.

In their video titled Full Wordpress SEO Tutorial, these 2 successful website entrepreneurs and teachers spell out a very simple and effective approach to SEO. It helps to demystify this often perplexing topic and is well worth the 18 minute view.

Major takeaways...

• At this point in time, Google ranks web pages most predominantly on the quality of content. As such, creating great content should be your biggest focus.
• A key component of great content is LENGTH. The majority of #1 google ranking posts are 1900-2000 words in length. Generally, long content ranks better than short content. Learn to write long content!
  
• Provide value to your readers by focusing on answering questions they want answers to (revealed in keyword research). Make your posts all about your readers' questions not your own opinions or interests.
  
• Link building (gaining links to your site from other sites) while important is NOT worth sacrificing content creation time. If your content is superior, the links will come on their own.
  
• Traffic takes time. Good content can take 6-12 months to start ranking high and garnering traffic. STAY THE COURSE!
  
• Content, Content, Content.
