There is a powerful phrase in the Bible that says "What you sow you shall reap" .In the Hindu and Buddhist religions you have "karma" which is literally "the effects of a persons actions that determine their fate in this life and the next incarnation".
The other saying I have heard is "what goes around comes around" and no matter what religion a person believes in (or does not believe in) this law works! Whatever you want to call this law it is here and it is universal!
If you show someone respect you will get respect in return, if you cheat someone in some way you will be cheated by someone else. If you show kindness you will receive kindness.
I believe this law works here in WA because we are all sowing something positive in each members life so we WILL receive something positive back. I find my self in a very positive frame of mind after catching up with other WA members who have commented on something I said, or reading someone else's comments ,blogs , profiles etc , it is just a ever growing web of kindness and each one of us will be rewarded ,like it or not!
