How Do You Develop Critical Creative Thinking
Individuals appear to have the mistaken belief that a chosen few have the ability to be innovative and creative. That is absolutely not true. Really critical creative thinking is a muscle that requires exercise in order to provide terrific results. Like any muscle, if you fail to regularly exercise your creative ability it will not develop or it will decline. Work on your inner creativity and very soon this skill will become second nature.
Just how do you release your creativity? First, consume as much knowledge as possible. Review everything -- good, bad or otherwise, open your mind to the limitless information in our world. The more you understand, the more you'll search to know, and become alert to the many opportunities in the world around you to learn. You will be surprised how this quest to learn will add another dimension to your life.
Perform creative tasks or read something new. Sure, it's a significant initiative. Sometimes quietly sitting in deep thought can encourage creativity. Do not allow anything to interrupt this time. Can you draw? No! Well, doodle to get your creative juices flowing. Pull out your smartphone and take pictures like crazy, think about the emotions a picture can evoke. (don't forget to upload to a file to save memory). Purchase and maintain a journal and write in it consistently.
Another idea is to write and describe something using all 5 senses. Attempt to stay clear of overused adjectives like "spectacular," "fantastic," and "scrumptious." What do you really see? feel or hear? In time you will have developed a small portfolio and you'll be impressed with your collection. Pretty quickly those activities will be instinctive and you'll be addicted to these exercises.
Attempt something brand-new on a daily basis (legal and moral) and allow your experiences to widen your viewpoint. Check out a brand-new area or neighborhood, go to a gallery, talk to a person at the park, on the bus, co-worker or church member. Open up to individuals around you.
As you move out your comfort zone your love of adventure grows as does your enthusiasm for life. Can you remember when you did something the very first time? Remember how it added in your growth mentally, physically or spiritually?
We won't suggest freestyle jumping with a parachute, however, if you did you would certainly put your storytelling ability to task to narrate a story about that event.
In the 21st century, one would think that every possible contraption has been created and already on the market, yet, on the popular show "Shark Tank" many creative minds show us the possibility and the advantage of thinking outside of the box..
Critical creative thinking is basically overcoming barriers whether real or imagined. Yes, this consists of the strange and also the totally unusual.
It is important though that your creative thinking does not detach you entirely from reality.
Think past your perceived limitations and live a life of fascinating experiences to share. Release your creativity and create a new passion for life.
To Your Amazing Future,

I totally agree with you here. I have spent the last couple of months offline, doing business offline, and mingling with people doesn't even care about what we do here. Add to that, they speak a different language, so by the time I returned back here, it felt like I'm a complete newbie again.

Hi Sheryl
An old mate of mine, who long gone now, once said to me 'I love life, I learn something new everyday'. He was 96 when he passed. Not only does learning, reading, observing and doing, help an individual to become creative, it also gives them a healthier lifestyle. Thank you for your thought provoking blog.
Jim
Thanks wow 96 what a blessing. He had done a lot of living and I am sure he had some stories to tell.
