Finding my motivation.
So I have a Premium Member for a month. I am ashamed to say that my first month was very slow going. I am not sure what held me back. Procrastination? Fear? I don't know. Something lit a firecracker up underneath my just recently and I have found my motivation again. I've gotten back on track with my training and have gotten some major work done on my first niche site.
One of my biggest set backs is that I am forced to have to work a 9-5 job. By the time I get home, feed my family and do what I have to do I am literally exhausted. I have been forcing myself to make time for my Home Business because that is that this is right? A Home Business. I need to quit treating this like a hobby and treat this like it is my only source of survival.
It dawned on me that I am basically grandfathered to my position at my current job. I am an overachiever, I work hard, am educated and have life experience yet I go nowhere within my company. Why am I staying loyal to a place that I am going nowhere at? I could switch companies and get stuck in the same rut. It doesn't make sense to me. Being a Boss Babe makes sense to me. I appreciate myself and the hard work that I put in. My husband appreciates my hard work and has been encouraging me to put the work in to make my dreams of being self-employed happen.
Doing double duty between my 9-5 and my home business is only temporary. A year from now I could be concentrating on me. Maybe you're in the same boat that I am in. Maybe you're having a hard time finding your motivation. What would you rather do? Put in 8 hours at a 9-5 being tethered to a desk or work area while making minuscule money or put in an 8-hour day, coming and going as you please, working when you want to work and watching the money roll in. I don't know about you but the 2nd option is way more appealing.
How do you find your motivation? Where do you see yourself a year from now?
