How do I upload larger images onto my site? Everytime I try to I get a message saying 'error, file exceeds limit'
I planned to reduce the size once they're uploaded, as I do with all my photos I get from the internet, but the problem I'm having is I can't even upload the ones from my camera.
Thanks Rich, they're not videos though - just photos from my camera. Is there a way that I can adjust the file size limit on wordpress?
Hey Marisa! I saw you reacted to a comment of Rich. If you hit the reply button beneath his comment, he will see your answer directly under his comment. By the way, I read somewhere that big images can slow down a page. I think Rich can answer your question better than I. He has a lot more experience! Success Warner
It depends on your hosting provider, many limit file sizes to 8meg. especially on shared hosting. If you need to deliver large files such as video, you're better off using a dedicated service such as YouTube, Vimeo or Wistia. You can deliver other types of files from cloud services such as Amazon's S3. :) Rich.

yes the entire thing disappears when I try to edit in 'visual' mode, when I change it to 'text' it comes back, but I can't edit properly in 'text' mode :-(

I am not sure on this one but I was under the impression that you have certain sizes that can be uploaded
