Brain melting

I really don't know how y'all do living in the south or warmer climates. I love the fall and winter months and appreciate the summer. But this summer is just hot and humid. I used to go to Louisiana during July (yeah, I know) for a month to stay with my cousins while my parents travelled. While we don't have the gigantic bugs here in the Midwest, it feels just the same. This has caused my brain to melt. I am losing momentum with my content for now. But, I know that it will change soon enough. It can't possibly stay in the 90s with 80% humidity.

I have always liked the start of school so I anticipate being able to bounce back once the weather breaks. Just two more weeks here. Our schools don't start until after Labor Day. Traditionally, it allowed students to participate in the state fair.

Best of luck to all of you who are starting school in the coming weeks. May we all start the season with cooler weather.

Susan

Me, I am tired of cold weather. We are looking to move to Florida, around aTampa. I can handle the heat, that's what pools are for. LOL

Wow, well I hope you enjoy your time there. I do hear it is beautiful.

I pray that you are right.

I'm in Arizona where they say "but it's a dry heat." I don't care, when it's 110 every day it's still too hot. And now that we are in monsoon season it's humid too. Yes, I didn't know this about Arizona until I moved here, but July and August are monsoon season where thunderstorms and dust storms are a nearly every day occurrence. Can't wait for this month to be over!

When you have a thunderstorm then a dust storm, does it turn into mud? it sounds pretty miserable.

Yes usually the dust comes first and then the rain so it turns into a big mess.

Think cool, my friend.

Paul.

We dream of being able to say 'it's too hot' in England!

I took a semester in England many years ago and thought the weather was perfect! I especially liked December in Isle of Mann. It was glorious.

Yes!
I hear you, Susan...
Up here in southern Ontario, Canada, we're experiencing prolonged, even record heatwaves this summer.
My wife and I are both fall/winter people.
This meltdown does tend to sap the ol' energy.
Love the start of school time (after Labour Day here too), with the 'fresh start' and energy:)
Hang in there!;)

It is strange to think low 80s is cool after the 90+ we have been having here in Minnesota.
