The Joy of WA!

For the last week I have been getting up at 5am and spending at least 4 hours writing, watching training videos, or working on my websites before I have to really "get up" and start my day.

I have 2 sites going, one started off as my "practice" site that I set up here following the training and my second one is a domain that I have owned for a while but never did much with. I transferred it to WA last week and have been slowly working on getting it set up and ready to accept content.

My second site is truly my "passion" site. I am already an authority on the subject matter and I feel very grateful that I am in a place in my life that I can share my knowledge. I have ideas coming out of my ears for posts, content, videos, etc. I've researched keywords, been studying SEO, and have been incorporating what I learned into the back end of my sit. I have been working hard on learning about Wordpress so I can have an amazing visual site!

BUT - I haven't posted any content yet. I have a few articles half written, but nothing I have been ready to put up.

This morning, I slept in - a little gift to myself before a dentist appointment (one of my least favorite things to do!) and, on a whim, decided to log in to WA on my way out the door...

WHAT A JOYUS SURPRISE to find that my passion site HAS BEEN INDEXED IN GOOGLE ALREADY!!! Without a single piece of content!

I don't know how rare this actually is, heck, it could be a fluke! But, for me - still quite a newbie to all of this - it is so exciting! I mean, perhaps I really DO understand what I am doing! Perhaps I CAN make a living at this!

Maybe this isn't a big deal to those members who have been here a long time and know the power of good SEO work, content, and all the ins and outs of affiliate marketing, but it is a great big, huge deal for me.

It was the push I needed today to keep working at this. An ego boost. The Universe giving me a pat on the back.

I wanted to share in case anyone is feeling like they aren't "getting it" and are feeling overwhelmed and frustrated...just keep working. Set aside time every day - even 30 minutes is better than nothing - and dedicate yourself to this endeavor.

No, an index notice doesn't come with a fat check, but it was just the nudge I needed to keep my spirits high and the hope that those big, fat checks are on their way...they are just floating around in that money tornado someone blogged about the other day...and I know they are going to show up eventually. I just know it!
