Week 3 - Update on My Progress (From a Newbie Perspective)
Okay, so I'm here because I'm at the part of the training that says to create a blog post. Why not take this opportunity to vent a little semi-frustration? It's approximately my third week here at WA, and my experience has been good, bad, and ugly I suppose.
The Good
The good part of the experience has definitely been the training. Kyle seems to know his stuff, and I'm not an easy sale. I know enough about the internet to tell when someone is floating me a load of bull, and he seems pretty legit. He seems to have a genuine interest in helping people and who can't respect that? I know I do. Also, I get to spend time doing what I love the most which is writing. It's like my superpower. The more I do it. The more I love it. The world needs more writers!
The Bad
Next, the bad part. I don’t know if there really is a bad part about my experience here at WA. I mean, I'm not looking forward to paying the $50 monthly fee without having made some money here, but that has everything to do with me more than the program itself. I have no doubt that what I'm learning here can lead to success. It's; however, all up to the effort of the individual. That is the case in life. You always get out of something what you are willing to put in. I've written 5 blogs including the "About Me" section on my website, and that I feel great about.
The Ugly
Finally, the ugly part. You and I will need to make one of the hardest decisions of our lives. We'll need to decide if we are willing to commit the time, effort, and intensity it takes to stay this program through the end. I vote a hell yeah!! The gift of what is being exchanged for a meager $50 a month is invaluable. Even though I am very tech savvy, I learn something new every time I log in. It's a great place to learn and hone your writing skills. Yes, there will be mountains to climb and hurdles to jump, but isn’t that the case with anything in life worth having at all? It's starting to get easier every day. We should stick around 😊
Sincerely,
Sanetra

I too am on my 3rd week here! And I'm glad you have decided to stay. I'm nervous because I'm techie but not a writer but I know the more I write the easier it will get. I've only gotten 1 blog together for my site and I think it took me days to write it! Lol... But I'm not giving up. I'm thinking long term to building up an authority site... And I couldn't be more excited! Hit me up anytime if you need help. Maybe I can help with the technical stuff I may know for some writing tips? Congratulations, keep moving forward and patience... :)
It is not easy to start writing, I am also a technical person. But with time it is getting much easier, and by now (after 6 months) I have almost 50 posts and pages and 21 WA blog.
I believe you've made the right decision Sanetra. The WA course includes almost everything you need to know about making money online and shows you everything step-by-step. Just be patient while you learn and apply and success will come. My business is now growing and I look forward to seeing your success story. Stay active within the community and remember to follow other members because it will naturally lead to more help within the community. The potential is really huge and how much of it you can uncover completely depends on you.
Hi, Sanetra.
Your post sent goosebumps throughout my body.
I felt the same way when I first started learning at Wealthy Affiliate.
Like you, I didn't want to let go of my hard earned money without getting anything in return. My opinion changed once I started learning new skills.
You hit the nail on the head; when you said that you learn something new every time you log in.
The skills we are learning can and will become useful in building our business, or working for someone else. (leverage is the key)
Thank you for sharing your feelings.

I remember being at this point too!
I like to look at it this way. If you were paying for a degree in business or technology at a traditional university, in the long run it would be costing far more than $50 a month.
But it becomes easy to ignore the numbers when they aren't directly in front of you each month. So most people don't think about how much they are paying until they've graduated and are left to find a job.
By getting a more hands-on education with WA, you're actually building a business for yourself at the same time that you're paying for your education!
Sorry that turned into a bit of a ramble, but I get excited about this topic. I hope it made a little sense, haha.
Anyway, I'm glad to hear that you have been enjoying your experiences here so far, Sanetra! I'm wishing you so many future successes. Please keep us updated on your progress.
Best to you,
- Bee
