Just a quick note here for any dog lovers out there:
Please be aware of Internet puppy scams. Especially with French Bulldogs.
Recently my wife and I were shopping for a new puppy. We are both ardent dog lovers and have always wanted to get a Frenchie.
Well, to do this I of course turned to the modern day oracle, Google.
What did I find? Some FANTASTIC offers for my new puppy.
Wait. Don’t get too excited.
Luckily, I’m savvy enough to the ways of the world to doubt FANTASTIC offers.
When most French Bulldogs sell for $5000 and someone is selling one for $700…um, ok, what’s wrong with that puppy?
A market price is a market price. If Amazon stock is going for $3400, you aren’t going to find it being sold for $200 on the NYSE or NASDAQ. If stock trader Joe has a great deal for you to get 10 shares of Amazon stock for 200 bucks, what are you going to tell Joe?

Take a hike, buddy.
Going back to my puppy story. I decided to reach out a couple of these GREAT DEALS. Mainly to see what response I would get.
What I received back were emails in broken English promising me delivery if I were to send them 700 dollars immediately.
Right. I wasn’t born yesterday.
I researched both of these sites and lo and behold I found countless complaints of people who payed and never received their dogs.
Guys, this is more prevalent than you might think.
Pet scams make up a whopping 25 percent of the TOTAL (for all categories) reported scams.
So 1 out of all 4 scams happening are pet related.
Not to paint a bad picture of man because I feel that man is basically good but IMO, that percentage means there are some pretty sick people you need to watch out for.
Anyway, just a heads up for you.
If you get an offer that seems to good to be true, is delivered with broken English, only accepts cash and REFUSES to FaceTime or show their puppy…RUN!!!!!!!!!!
I started an email address called helpfightpuppyscams and am going off on these guys. I’ve filed all kinds of complaints and sent them some rather poignant communications.
Hopefully this post helps PREVENT at least one person from being scammed.
Have a great day.
Love, Sam
