Overachievers R US

All my life I've felt as though whatever I did wasn't good enough. That perfectionist thing I mentioned in my last post has been a long-standing affair. The result is that it's difficult for me to see what I do as an actual accomplishment, so I go wayyyy overboard.

That said, I've been tasked with filling you in on my accomplishments since joining WA, two weeks ago today. This feels like it should be a list, so here we go:

  • Just finishing Course 2
  • Had oodles of fun playing with Jaaxy
  • Set up two websites, www.colloidalsilverfacts.com and affiliatemarketinguniversity.info, both very much works in progress
  • Took two lessons in the Affiliate Bootcamp, and obviously I need more :-)
  • Abandoned a website I decided I didn't like, www.howtolearnaffiliatemarketing.org. If anybody thinks it's worth revisiting, I will do so (sigh, failure!)
  • Set up google+ account and authorship
  • Fired up the twitter account I've had since 2010 but have never used, and actually sent out my first tweet, thanks to Steve of Leadership Lessons fame (you know who you are) and figured out how to get a twitter widget (although I'm not clear what it's for)
  • Indexed 500 of the photos on my computer, a never-ending task apparently...there are over 10,000 and counting
  • Published one of my subliminal videos "Alpha!" on YouTube.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8WrZK8cv2s. If you're worried about subliminals, you don't need to worry about this one, it's all about being powerful and strong and accomplished. I have no ulterior motive. Really. I actually made this video over a year ago, but never published it. It's not perfect, you know, so how could I? I have another one on weight loss...but I haven't posted it anywhere yet.

  • I applied what I learned about All In One SEO (which isn't much, but it's a start) and google authorship to another website I own, www.safeharborcredit.com. Which gets no traffic and has never sold anything (all our business comes from individual referrals, the website is almost incidental window dressing). Hopefully this will change with a little SEO and promo, which I'm just starting to do.

  • Set up an affiliate deal with TopDog Trading and put a couple of links on another website I'm developing, www.moneyloveandlaughter.com, which was way over my head technically.
  • Convinced the boyfriend that Empower Network was a scam and he should have nothing to do with it. Particularly since he wants ME to actually do the doing...and I won't!
  • Actually shared a few things on Facebook. Again, I've had the account for years but never even looked at it. Now I find it makes me smile.
  • Given up all hope of privacy in a very unprivate world!

I don't feel like I've accomplished much, simply because I haven't actually made any money! Isn't that the standard American measuring tool? Just kidding.

Truly my most important accomplishment is having developed the beginnings of great relationships with the people here at WA. It has been a serious challenge and a serious amount of fun. Thank you all for your support and just generally for being there and being the wondrous people you are!

You've accomplished a lot. You should be happy. Yet that overachiever/perfectionist says no, it's not enough and not done properly. Get over it! That's so easy (and fun) to say to someone else (rather than hear it)........LOL. Keep up the good work. ~Debbi

You crack me up. Twins separated at birth, I'm thinkin'...

I must be the older twin then. LOL.

You are doing great! I can be perfectionist also. There are positives and negatives about it.

I believe the world needs perfectionists...otherwise we are doomed to mediocrity. It's just annoying (to us) at times :-)

Gosh you put me to shame and certainly have been very pro active, I struggle with the tech stuff as it was something completely new to me, started off quite quickly and have slowed down for some tasks are trickier lol I am sure you will have many successes

I've had to take some pieces slowly also...some technical (because I bite off more than I can chew), and some ideological - like the privacy thing. Anyway, I'm sure that we're all going at the pace we need to. Many blessings ~Ansley

OMG, Ainsley...you are indeed a whirling dervish. I like that you have kept track of all the great things you have accomplished. Your progress is truly amazing; but please dear one take a deep breath and remind yourself that you are loved and you are valuable and you are worthy of prosperity. Don't be anxious...none of us will ever reach perfection...whatever the heck that is.

I too am a recovering over achiever. I have to keep the expression, "Let go and let God" firmly implanted in my brain. I do that because I am finally convinced that He does take delight and pleasure in my prosperity and He wants me to live in the unforced rhythm of His grace.

Thanks so much for the honest way that you have expressed yourself. Joyous blessings to you...Rebecca

Thank you Rebecca, I appreciate your support, wisdom and guidance. It may seem like I'm working "hard" but truly I'm just having a great time!

Having a great time is what the journey to our dreams is all about.

Congratulations on the progress you have made. Your achievements make me look like I have been sleeping for the last two months. Keep it up. I look forward to hearing of your future endeavors and successes.

As I said below, I'm just having a whale of a good time right now. I've discovered that I love to write! Hopefully it will lead to keeping a roof over my head and my belly full!

Hey over achiever:) nice one I was really lax on following the tasks, you are doing the right thing. Got all of it and you doing great. Two things I liked especially...the privacy thing:

I remember thinking, ' If I am to do this I just have to accept the way things are and get on.' Until then I had avoided Google plus etc.

Second point:

I feel I have achieved a lot, you have, we all have that said when my bank account starts to grin wide and full, then I have made it.

Twitter is a new thing to me as well. what's your twitter page? I will follow would appreciate the same back
Take care
Tim

twitter is @beneleo
What's yours? Will indeed follow...

Hey Ansley @airesidelife I have just followed you so I should show up. I'm told the twitter thing etc is essential:) after a bit of wondering what to do with it I am starting to like it. Hope you find the same
