How did it happen? - I dont know
I love motorcycling and many years ago I liked to drive around with a friend of mine.
I set off with Ekki when he got his brand new Suzuku Bandit 1200. He went and first through the city and then we wanted to go home on the country road. Ekki drove away at the front and I followed with my Bandit 600. We drove down a street that had tram tracks. Since it was slightly drizzling, I drove particularly carefully, because rails are not so fun for bikers in the rain.
Suddenly it happened I saw sparks flying and Ekki lay on the floor with his brand new machine. I stopped immediately and we raised the machine again. Fortunately, he hadn't hurt himself. The machine was not intact. It hurt my soul.
When asked what happened, Ekki replied, I don't know.
Maybe I mixed up brake and gas, suddenly I was lying there. I don't know? What the hell does that mean?
We drove home comfortably and the day was over. Weeks later we drove out again, this time with three of us. Ekki had the machine repaired for a lot of money and we drove on the highway.
Bright sunny weather, it was on a construction site and the two of us drove between the columns of cars. Ekki stayed behind. When I didn't see him, I gave Dirk a hand signal and we stopped on the hard shoulder. No trace of Ekki.
He appeared after about 30 minutes. Scratched and taken away. He stopped. Ekki, where have you been, what happened? I lay down?
What? How did this happen?
No idea, was the answer.
Incredible! There is certainly no shame in making mistakes. And there is no shame in building an accident while riding a motorcycle. But if something happens, I should know why it happened. So I can correct.
In the beginning, when I started marketing online, I felt like Ekki. I didn't know why I made mistakes. That drove me crazy. Now I'm not flawless. But now I know what I did wrong and that's important, because as a wise ancient Greek once said:
The repetition of the same mistake is not the property of the wise man
