When You are Sad...

It is a common mistake to blame the system and oneself and to go down into a state of self pity and sorrow when things do not go our way. The first thing to remember is that it is natural to feel sad when things do not go our way. Secondly, it is important to remember that if something does not go our way, we can always find at least a couple of things that do go our way and can bring us success. The greatest mistake is to overlook such an opportunity and to go on thinking about something that never works.
I wish to share this secret of my success with you. I wish to join Edison to tell you that I have invented a thousand things that never works before discovering a handful of items that works very well. This is my working principle (top secret)- when I find that I failed in one thing, I search around for two things that I am sure that I will be able to do. The thing I failed was already a risky business with a low probability for success. I gave it a try because if i could make it, the reward would have been very high - just like winning a jackpot. The alternate thing I do is something that is easy to win and will give me lesser reward. But the important point is that it takes care of my happiness - the happiness in doing something that works!
So, next time you are sad, look for something that you can do to make yourself happy!
