Why Marketing Knowledge Changes How You See Content Completely

I didn't realise how marketing would change how I see things - until it did.
Before, content felt simple:
You scroll.
You like what looks good
You save what feels useful.
That's it- there was not much thought behind it.
Now? I can't scroll the same way anymore.
Not because I'm trying to analyse everything - but because I naturally notice things I didn't before.
The way a video starts , the way it holds attention and the exact moment a product is introduced. Even the tone of a caption - it's subtle but there.
What used to feel random now feels structured .
I'll see a post and immediately clock:
Who it's for , what it's trying to do and why it's being put that way.
Not in a complicated way- just instinctively

And the biggest shift?
I stopped thinking of content as just content
Now I see it as:
- positioning
- messaging
- Behavioural influence
Even the simplest posts are doing something.
It builds familiarity , creates trust and shapes perception.
It also reminds me what performs well isn't luck
It's pattern
The same type of hooks
The same style of messaging
The same emotional trigger.
Once you see it enough , it becomes obvious.
And because of that, the way I create has changed too. I don't think about if I should post it or not.
I think about the performance of the post - will it do well or not?
I want to know who it speaks to
What do I want the message to be
Where does this fit.
I think that is the part people don't talk about.
Learning marketing doesn't teach you how to create.
It changes how you see
